yup its those two, Bretos is over at ESPN and serving a 30 day suspension for a racially slurring a boresketball player
Rogo and Cobi? That's great news! I liked his work calling CCL games for FSC. His commentary style isn't fully developed but he is a Galaxy man through and through. Still would have loved to see Joe Tutino get the nod and this grouping isn't exactly Max Bretos/Alan Hopkins, but dropping the well-intended soccer noob Watson is a huge plus. I'm excited, happy to see them bring Cobi back into the fold. It should be fun to see how he improves from week to week because the analysis and insight he gave during the CCL matches he did was good.
So, we're assuming that what's printed here is wrong? Because it doesn't have KDOC listed anywhere. Not that it makes any difference to me. Now that it's not Prime Ticket/FSW, I'm back to the bad old days of watching games on my computer. Fun. But if they're not being broadcast at all...
Don't know about the other games but the CCL game on 3/7 is on FSC. At least I can watch that one...not sure about the league games, as I don't believe I get KDOC either.
You beat me to it! I also have Charter and as far as I can tell, they don't offer KDOC where I'm at (San Luis Obispo County). How about you?
Can you get MLS Direct Kick? The Galaxy just haven't updated their schedule yet. http://www.kdoctv.net/galaxy/ I made my own printable Galaxy schedule this weekend. Feel free to use. edit: BTW Galvanator I think you can get MLS direct kick through In Demand on charter.
Thanks for pointing out the link to the KDOC page. I suppose I could have checked there. Cox Las Vegas refuses to support Direct Kick for me because I have a Cable Card Tivo. Don't move to Las Vegas, Galaxy fans. edit: That's a good looking printable schedule! Nice work!
Thanks, I'm gonna look into this. I think I have to call Charter. There's nothing on the Charter website that indicates that they offer Direct Kick but they do show all these: MLB Extra Innings, ESPN Game Plan, ESPN Full Court, and NHL Center Ice.
Charter @ Glendale, yes we have KDOC Ch 10. But I didn't hear anything from them about the future games. Have to wait and see..
The DirecTV online guide has the game airing on 474 as part of the Direct Kick package. My TV hasn't updated with this info yet though. I'm praying this isn't blacked out in San Diego.
TWC has HDKDOC on Ch. 406 in the greater L.A. area of course an HD box is required, not sure about other outlets.
KDOC HD as a broadcast station is carried via unencrypted QAM via TWC (at least in my area of the Southbay). As such I can pick it up via any TV that has a QAM capable tuner (e.g. my $239 23" Samsung in the Kitchen that is not attached to a cable box of any type). You will need to do a station search to find it and TWC moves it stations around periodically, so about once a month, I redo the station search. FWIW, TWC on the notices page implied that ESPN HD was also available via unencrypted QAM, but I haven't found it yet.
Good afternoon fellow football fans, Anyone know if the MLS live subscription is worth it? I have Dishnet so I fave FSC, KDOC HD (of course), ESPN deportes, ESPN2, GalaV HD, Telefutura HD. I basically want to keep track of other games so I can be entertained by the rest of the clubs huffing and puffing away trying to ball at our level. By the way MLS Live is $59.99 with automatic renewal (not a fan of this) and they made cancellation of service as hard as our defence was last season to break thru. I seem to remember last season seeing it at $39.99 for the whole season?
I think its worth it, this is my first year with MLS Live but having the luxury of watching games wherever I am is a plus and I felt I missed a lot of good games last year, you're also able to watch archived games and from what I've read they also offer condensed game footage. and yes it was 39.99 but it was an early bird special and after that it was bumped up to 59.99 when the season started, it was a turnoff for me last year and is why I didn't buy after I missed the early bird special. but after thinking about it this year its still a good deal (at least to me) and MLS also floated out the promo code "2012TICKET15" to drop the price to 50.99. the good thing is that MLS is offering a free preview of MLS Live this weekend so you can take it for a test drive and as for the automatic renewal I've read that if you cancel before March 1st it won't get auto renewed and you can decide to re-up later. I also splurged and got a Roku so I can stream MLS Live from my tv but this is more of a long term investment as I plan to use netflix and the NHL package next year. I hope this helps you out a bit
Never mind Dawdler it works fine and I'm about to splurge on the package $50 bux is reasonable. Thanks again your help is appreciated.
If you have Dishnet then go with MLS direct kick. It's the same thing as MLS live and it's only $49. edit: oops its actually $79.
