True, but there were people knocking the organization for this. Granted, everyone loves to pounce on the Krafts and the FO at every opportunity. This was a good job done by the FO, this match likely would have taken place somewhere, why not let the Revs STH and fan base in general get the option to watch the match, and let the people who would not go to the Revs game normally, be enticed! All around great job by the FO, sure I, and many others don't care about the match and will likely only take advantage of the extra tailgate time, but it's no reason to knock the FO. It's not like it was either this or ManU-Barca, it was this or nothing. This is better than nothing!

Apparently, 'everyone bitching' = me. :D No worries.

Forest for the trees baby. Hooray free game. I hear the balloon-archery guy is on for the half time show!

Worst half-time show ever. The damn balloon archer had to be there on the day that the line at the beer stand was short and I was back to my seat in time to be subjected to his show.

One of those little NSR things burned into your memory as a Rev supporter. You wonder what set of karmic events had to take place to put that guy, in that stadium, that night.

I thought for sure he'd shoot somebody's eye out. :D

They should bring back the Frisbee dog act. Now that's entertainment. :)

Not complaining about an opportunity to watch the Brazilian women and more drinking opportunities.

When you put it like that, I don't see how anyone could complain.

As always, most of the prime viewing opportunities will be to your left and right and not necessarily on field.

Attention gorgeous Brazilian women, (which almost seems redundant) looking to attend this game: PM me -- I have tickets behind the Brazilian bench I won't be using. Pictures required. :D

Not complaining as I agree this will hopefully put more butts in the seats but these two teams aren't geared towards my demographic at this point in my life...someday maybe if a daughter were to arrive. Before then Women's soccer is not on my radar. I have a hard enough time embracing the amazing level of play in MLS.

If they bring in Mr. Woo for the halftime show then I'd be there in a second...

Women's soccer can be just as compelling as men's soccer. It's not a lower form of soccer just because females are playing.

I don't think he was saying that ... I think he's just not interested in it, same here.

The World Cup can be compelling and a U8 match can be compelling. Gender is irrelevant. That is like the old Bob Uecker bit about Little League batting helmets.

Quality of soccer is a different issue

I think it's a lower form because it is slower and less skilled.

Not to mention, in this game in particular, Canada is playing

That opinion would be great if it weren't for the fact that Canada defeated Brazil in the finals of the 2011 Pan American Games. Also, at a tournament held in Brazil in 2010, Canada tied Brazil 0-0 in the group stage and tied Brazil in the final 2-2. Canada won that tournament and hoisted a trophy in Brazil.

The results of these 3 games where Canada won 2 tournaments while facing Brazil in the finals suggests that Canada is comparable to Brazil.
