The Revs really should win in the PK round.

There was a period there where it fropped out every couple minutes. Seems fine now.

Oh well. Hopefully Benny works on the PKs a bit more as a result of this one.

It was a pretty great save to give Perk credit.

******** our first team just lost to LA's backups.

It seemed to me he could have put more leg into it.

I'm not overly concerned about the loss. It's a preseason game. I don't care if they win or lose these games. The bigger issue is that the midfield looked discombobulated.

Boohoo we lost. I would like to point out that this game just confirms everything we thought about this team, and that's the lack of scoring from our forwards. I'm not sold on Sene. I actually love Cardenas, and hope he can develop a scoring touch. Most of our goals this preseaon came from the midfield, and while this isn't particularly a bad thing, having dangerous forward opens up more space for your attacking midfielders to have chances on goal.

We saw that relying on a rookie Rowe to score fantastic goals every game isn't gonna happen, and that any great pass we feed through the back line to Sene or Bretcheider is gonna be wasted by them. My favorite forwards right now would be Fagundez and Cardnes. I don't expect both of them to start, but they are the ones that have shown the most thus far.

Don't forget we didn't score but we also limited the Galaxy reserves to very few good chances.

Oh well they lost and looked bad. Put it in perspective. It was a meaningless preseason game. I'm willing to look at the fact that the good has outweighed the bad this offseason and they are moving in the right direction. Some of you are reading way to much into some meaningless games with squad players and guys who might be cut soon.

After watching and reading some of the preseason results, I thought we might be turning things around, but after last nights game, nothing has changed. New coaching staff plus new players equals same results. Makes me wonder why we renewed are season tickets! Maybe I we keep finishing last, we might find a good player-HA HA HA!

As much as the end of the game was groan-worthy, it really was just a glorified scrimmage. I was disappointed not to see Nguyen play, and was dismayed at how little Brettschneider had to offer, but it means nothing. We just have to hope that against all odds, Nguyen and Moreno turn out to be real players.

I think it means a lot. That was our first team that couldnt score against LA's second string. Season opens in one week and we're not ready.

Didnt see much from the french flash or any other forward for that matter

Get Benny into the middle and forget about Sims... We have no attack

I agree. If it were early in pre-season, I wouldn't worry about not putting away a reserve team, especially because LAG is pretty deep and they have decent reserves, and although they held possession for stretches, they didn't generate a lot of chances (after the first few minutes), whereas we did have a number of good chances. But in the final tune-up, with our putative starting line-up going for most of the game, it is a little worrisome that we couldn't finish one or two goals off.

I understand the argument that you can't go overboard on preseason results, but they are all we have to go on now and last night wasn't encouraging.

BTW, I'd love to see a sabermetrician's analysis of preseason results. The common wisdom says they predict nothing, but I wonder what the numbers say?
