I've heard that some of the players had to change their footwear during the game due to the conditions, if you notice, the CTRs are in the Hard-Ground Soleplate...so this is most likely not a permanent switch.
Yeah, they're only trequartista's. It was just a one-off, he had to wear an AG soleplate and will be back to Tiempos next week.
yea, they do look big. they have new ones, water resistant. check them out: http://www.nikys-sports.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=5430&idcategory=0
Taken from Casilla's facebook page, both pique and puyol are in legends III, while everyone else is in their regular boots?
Blacked out T90 III's, he wore them a lot last season. Looks like he's hanging on to them for training
Yep - what pumaking7 said, definitely the Laser III's - here's a better pic. ZOOM AND ENHANCE You can just about see the '90' of the T90 on the inside of the heel. As for the Legend III on Pique and Puyol, my best guess is they're an AG/HG variant, as it looks like they're playing on Artificial ground, there. That said, Puyol is always breaking out those Legend III's in training (along with a White / Volt pair), maybe it's a comfort thing?
I would venture to say that the shoes the players are wearing are part of the boots that are kept for them with their national team. Rarely will a player bring their own boots from their club team, unless they have some sentimental value to them. Teams keep between three and 10 pairs per player at the higher levels, there are bound to be older colorways and models mixed in there, especially when they are used for training. Remember, the Pique's of the world have totally custom fitted shoes. So, style updates and model overhauls don't impact them too much because no matter what their shoes look like, they all fit the same.
Any idea which boots is Nakazawa wearing here? He is contracted to Puma so some asian releases? They look like Pantofola d'Oro's!
