If this signing doesn't end in a lawsuit then I am happy. Seems like a promising player, and if BM saw something in him then he must be.

We still need that proven goal scorer...

    Agreed.

    Time to sign Chad Barrett.

He should be especially attractive to us with his recent season-ending injury last Fall.

Big guy. Maybe he'll find his niche in MLS and and give us some goals.

This guy could blossom in MLS.
If he made it into the Bayern system, there's got to be something there.
And I'm desperate for something to feel good about.

The Revs front office said a few weeks back they were planning to sign more than one "proven goal scorer". Now that their "Number 9" signing has hit the skids it will be interesting to see if they in fact can come up with another significant Forward signing. I think it's better than 50/50 they will sign another SI (unless it's Barrett) forward before the beginning of the season.

This. My stance this off-season is that we need to sign 3 strikers. No striker on the roster as it currently stands should be considered an automatic starter.

I am agreeing with you Doc. I want to see good things. I want it to be actually happening.

...my cynical side still looks at it like it's a band aid and the actual commitment and dedication isn't really occurring. It's just MLS breathing a little heavy on the phone with KSG, and they're reaction is...Well, let's give them something. Make it cloudy enough to dampen the screams and pitchfork pointing. But, in the very least, it is SOMETHING!!

I think many of us would be more than a little disappointed if it turned out to be Chad Barrett. We need the youth movement to flourish, not the missing Hansen brother.

Funny story. There were about 5 of us walking around the Red light district in Amsterdam way back in the mid 80s. One of the guys we were with was 18 years old with zits all over his face. We had him do some window shopping and we sent him in with some cash. He was a virgin and we were going to pay for his first. Well he comes walking out 2 minutes later. We were like Charmicheal, what happened? he said, She told me I had to be 21......we died laughing,,,,Dude had a handful of cash and got turned down by a prostitute

I wonder, has there been any update on Danny Mwanga's status? Is he still in play or was that a deal contingent on the SuperDraft?

Now that LeToux was shipped I believe they have no thoughts on trading him

I like the signing. I expected/hoped to see him signed after the AZ camp. I thought he left early because they sent him back home to get packed.
From initial viewing, he looks like he has good acceleration for his size. He seems like a good all around athlete. Im excited to FINALLY see some speed up top(besides Dube). Him being lefty is a nice change up.

have to give credit when due if Im also going to criticize:
Good job B&B on getting this signing done.

Now you still have about 4 weeks to:
    1. Move on from Moreno
    2. Sign 2 more STs at or near the level of Sene
    3. Sign a veteran LB. A REAL LB, not a LM that can play some D
    4. Sign another CB & perhaps a LB/RB type

Nice to see this new kid is used to playing in empty stadiums. He'll feel right at home.

On the bright side, I feel like our midfield with shalrie, Benny, and kelyn, will provide much better service this year....so I like this signing.....let's hope we can get another serviceable striker, because this midfield can really help a middle of the road forward

I like this signing (again assuming its depth). Bayern Munich liked what they saw not too long ago when they signed him so he definitely has to have a certain level of talent, and I remember hearing he can play out wide too so that can hopefully give us a nice option if Nyassi is stinking it up out there.

Also, still waiting for the Revs to raid Vancouver.........they still currently have like 6 or 7 first team strikers.

    Finally. A ray of sunshine.
Smells like a desperation move to avoid tar and feathers at the supporters meeting, but, whatever it takes.
Let's keep the shopping trip going.

I want Nguyen. He's certainly expendable by them at this point with LeToux et al, could be very productive, and There is a ton of Vietnamese fans of the Bong Da in Massachusetts to tap into.
