Wherever did Tokyo Verdy find that Chinese Gangster font for their jerseys? :D

Machida's mascot exist, while Matsumoto's not, whereas these two new clubs have birds as their mascot, just like Okayama :)

As far as I know, the only teams that ever wore black prior to the changes in the "away shirt rule" in 2005 were Nagoya and Kashiwa. If you can find a pic of the shirt you are referring to, though, send it to me. Id be interested to research what it was (possibly a warm-up or practice jersey)

Incidentally, Fagiano's pheasant is recognised by the league, but there are questions about copyright (because the designer of the mascot wasnt either Sony Entertainment or a paid pro designer) to theyre still deciding whether or not to revise it to avoid the copyright issues. As for Matsumoto and Machida, both have official mascots (Machida is a kingfisher and Matsumoto a Ptarmigan), but Matsumotos is being redesigned and I presume that thats why it isnt featured on Js Goal at present.

If youre looking for a good conspiracy theory, though...... you might want to try to dig up some rumours about the reasons why the official J.League site doesnt use or refer in any way to the name "Zelvia". Its schedule for 2012 simply says "FC Machida".

    I was just saying "if youre looking for conspiracy theories . . . . . ."

Obviously the J.League knows what the club name is. But it doesnt explain why the schedule for the J2 season lists them only as "FC Machida".

That's this one (I had to use google on my own as I only remembered that there was a shirt like this ;)). Best Cerezo uniform ever! That's a shame that only 88 were made...

Ahhhh - the Kincho stadium memorial jersey. Naruhodo!

I wonder if any other leagues have this sort of special uniform. I think it was done for the J.League vs Japan NT charity match too. Doesnt seem like a very intelligent use of resources if you arent even going to sell them to fans for merchandising . . . . .

I don't think it's as bad as it could be. Still better than quite a few including Omiya.

Well, I did tell the team to put a crappy and pointless red tetris block on the back of our jersey but they wouldn't go for it:rolleyes:
