I'm pretty sure Reece Brown is a 97 from when we were looking at the younger lads that made the training camp. Can't find a link though.

I think Cook will be left for the next campaign. Hayden is a bit unlucky. He did fine in his game but maybe they are leaving him for next season's U16's too.

Looks like an impressive squad. Our attacking options are very interesting, great to see that Green is getting his chance.

I think Reece Brown is 96 born.

Also Foday Nabay recently made his U18 Debut for Birmingham.

"We had three schoolboys start the game and ended up with five schoolboys on the pitch, including a 13-year-old.

Barry, Barry - don't bite! i'd like to think i'm not that uneducated when it comes to understanding the need to accommodate all types of players from all walks of life. even Hargreaves played for Wales. don't get so exasperated good man. tongue firmly in cheek with my pot stirring.

and yes - i did state about the father's of Gunn (and Poyet) being from other countries, and pointing out that it's just such a curious case - but that's to me. likely not to all.

if anything it shows that we're leaning towards being more multi-cultural as an international side...something yet to be truly seen (a la Germany or France) within our older sides. please see here for a better understanding:

great thing about Gunn is his father is so keen to stress that it is "his choice", autonomy likely not afforded to many youngsters.

I knew you would say it's a 'wind up'. But I don't believe that to fully be the case after past discussions on here :)

You didn't just bring up the fact that Gunn's father was Scottish either. You questioned the point of capping him just because of his Dad.

Quite something that Foday Nobay made his u18 debut for Birmingham recently. Am I right in saying he is '98 born? So available for the next two groups?

What type of centre-mid is he?

I knew he had Cypriot blood with the name but who knows what happens into the future.

because don't think he has represented Cyprus at any level yet.

Quite amazing for a League 2 club to bring through three keepers like that.

Thanks barryfrom.... Would have like to see this match as I think it will show whether England is heading in the right direction with regard to youth, so will be a shame if it is not televised.

Seyi Ojo tweets that he has scored 5 goals in 7 games from midfield for LFC U16s. Not bad for a 14 year old. Hopefully he can keep up his form for England against Spain.

Yes, indeed. Had it been televised it would have been a shock though. As regards the result we may lose out because of the defence. Our experienced kingpins RL-C and Bennett won't be there of course. But yeah, should be interesting.

So anyone know the name of the 13 year old genius from Arsenal that one of Arsenal's scouts was talking about last February ?

A few names have been put forward but nobody knows for sure. Considering his age it's best it doesn't come out yet.
