There might be something to this, quite personally I find that puffer vest distracting watching on television....imagine how it must affect the players.

    Burn the vest Jose!

El Classico saga continues. My Beloved Madrid has reached an all time low in the recent classico matches. It seems Farca has our number and is not willing to let it go. Pepe has seen the red mist too many times and his stamp on messi was totally unMadridista. Mourinho for all his brilliance seems clueless on how to stop Pep. Players are said to be revolting over the negative tactics employed by the Gaffe. Can things get any worse? They could, but there is an upside to the whole thing... It can't get much worse and the only place to go when you down is up. Hala Madrid.... I chant in pride... I STILL BELIEVE!!!!

I'm behind the boys, no matter who plays out there. Hopefully we can restore some pride by putting up a good fight at least!

Madrid need two goals, so I think Marcelo is an obvious choice. The risk is necessary.

I do think Coentrao defends better than him, but Marcelo is no mug. He just is prone to lapses in concentration, but if he is focused he is also very good. Coentrao has also been a shadow of his Benfica/NT days when going forward, and Madrid need the extra outlet. It's interesting how most non-Portuguese RM fans think Coentrao is primarily a defensive LB, when he is actually a converted winger. Either he is lacking confidence to go up or has been giving very tight orders to stay back, not sure which.

Pepe will not receive punishment from the Spanish FA and is cleared to play tonight.

Great news! Do you guys actually think he intentionally stepped on Messi's hand or was it an accident?

He looked down, saw where the hand is, and shortened his steps to ensure he stepped on his hand. As intentional as it's going to get.

I don't care if it was intentional. Barca players are free to do the same, but unfortunately they only have the guts to do it with the national team when Arbeloa and Ramos jump in to save their ham from being stolen.

One Barca socio even sued Pepe. Probably somebody with no life whatsoever.

I've seen the replays and it does seem that he looks down but I'm still not 100% sure that it was intentional... Whether it was or not, Barcelona gets away with stuff like this all the time.

The number of times they get away with stupid calls or "diving/cheating" is ridiculous. It literally cost us the Champions League last year.

Does the game start at 16:00 Eastern Time? -5:00

When did a Barca player assault a Madrid player during a stop in play during last season's CL fixture. Also what act of cheating/diving directly effected the outcome.

Mistake with Pepe. Disrepectful and not good for the brand.

He'll have maximum pressure on him tonight and zero good will from the ref. It's bound to be a red card for him.

I would have gone with Marcelo, but that line-up is 3 times better than the last one.
