They are in fact the Vapor 9, heard official word. Soccer Reviews posted about it but they pulled it down, I'm guessing Nike objected to it or something. Massive leak regardless...
Maybe Nike also were the ones to purchase the boots off of him? Someone purchased for the buy it now. ;o
WOW! That's all I can say. Kangalite toe box for touch, the laces go all the way down to the toes for improved fit, external heel counter (protection+stability), and they're bringing back the yellow heel cup from the mv3! Hopefully the heel cup isn't painful at the top like the one on the mv3 such that you have to cut part of it off.. The fabric upper looks soft, but i'm skeptical about the strength of the seam where the fabric is sewn together with the kangalite. It even seems like they've brought back the vapor ii insole. The swoosh at the front is small as well. If the retail version is the same as these prototypes, I have a feeling that a lot of mercurial nostalgics like me will be very pleased..Ofcourse we still don't know about the fg outsole, but i expect the hybrid sg to be really good. What do you guys think? Let's hear those predictions and analyses.
Another big leak... Allegedly T90 Lasers slated for release in 2013, but they have next to nothing on the upper.
Also for sale on ebay by the same seller of the Vapor 9.... Either Soccerreviews purchased them or Nike did.
looks like kangalite and a suede heel liner on those lasers.. Anyone got all the other pics? Soccerreviews have taken the article down, again..
hey guys can someone help me confirm these are indeed legit http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/110810796683?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
No, the carbon is definitely fake, and those gray things on the heels don't glow or shimmer in the dark..
fake......if you scroll down the listing abit they have added this extra info - On 18-Jan-12 at 15:17:34 GMT, seller added the following information:Very Good Boots! Economical Version Theres your answer
I meant on that same shoe found on the ebay link http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?VISuperSize&item=250975798764 The back half of the upper seems to resemble the texture of the Mercurial SL carbon fiber shoe.
All that hype this month and Nike's big launch is something called the Nike+ Fuelband. More info! Not what I expected, I have to admit! I wouldn't buy one myself, but I'm sure there are plenty of people who would have a use for it.
Is it okay that I'm really disappointed in this? SOOO much hype. Literally every forum or blog I looked at had something about it.
I'm really curious to know the formula used to calculate "nike fuel". And wtf, "nike fuel", who came up with that name?
What the hell. What a retarded product. What the hell is Nike thinking? I am obviously not the only one in here, thinking that Nike is slipping completely. It seems like they are totally unaware that the competitors, adidas & puma has stepped up their game. My theory: Nike sells most of its products in North America. A little under half their global revenue originates from the states 65% of which originates from footwear. That means basketball, athletics, american football, ice hockey, baseball, etc, but they are dilettants in the worlds most popular sport, ironically. Im thinking that Nike is letting its guard down becuse its much more safer to exploit the existing market in the US, where they are market leaders in the national sports of American football and basketball, etc. All product development is being done at the HQ in Oregon, US. And Nike does not do product testing outside of continental US (AFAIK). That leaves american people developing products to consumers based on american consumer feedback and pro footballer input (of most which are not american). So basically, you have an information asymmetry, where Nike is more or less out of sync. That leads to retarded product management --> Nike Fuel ? adidas however, is located in the heart of football (Germany ), relies heavily on sales in Europe (43% of revenue originates from Europe). So i would say that adidas currently has the upper hand, and are much more "in sync" of the trends in football, and what the consumers desire. Further, i think they are a much more flexible company that can push out new and better products fast (Im thinking Predator LZ substituting AdiPower). I saw an interview with the head of adidas product development team, upon the launch of the Adizero, and amongst other things, he mentioned that most of the people on the team developing new football boots plays semi-professional themselves. Wow, that was quite a post. Just had to let some steam out.
Nike will sell millions of them purely based on their marketing. People are stupid enough to buy it, and they will certainly buy it.
