I like this signing of Conde....

But before the post of this thread like two week ago in a post when I put in consideration to sign Conde, all of you was against the idea for several reasons, now that they signed him all of you are shacking your feathers like a "hen head over heels"....

Yeah. I'd like to see at least one, if not all three, of Hot, Kassel and Hertzog step into a larger role. It's hard to judge now who will have the best opportunities. Kassel, I think, is probably furthest along in terms of development. But, if Nielsen is really done, maybe he can be the one giving Lindy a break now and again.

As far as it goes Keel-Holgersson would be probably solid defensively if not outstanding, they'd probably need Tainio/Marquez to drop deep and help with possession. If Conde is good to start then he is more than capable of filling this job for the defense.

I just hope with the new signings that Backe has given up trying to convert Kassel to a right back and let him play in the midfield like he wants.

Backe hasn't tried converting Kassel a RB.. He played 1 game as an emergency role and he played decent for his 1st MLS appearance at a different position..

I'm interested on Hoti.. He plays for the youth US teams and was our prized academy player last year if I'm not mistaken. I think he has some serious potential

Except we heard that Backe had him playing there in training all season, and he made more than one appearance there...

He's only been a starter for like 50% of their games right? So I think it may be more of a game fitness thing. Maybe a full preseason will help to get that back.

No one was against the signing. People had concerns about his salary demands and whether or not Chicago would be willing to play ball with us. If/when Ream goes we can cover his salary and it seems as though Chicago will play ball. Everyone here knows his quality and likes him as a player.

    Stop making shit up.

I'm interested in seeing more of this guy in the future too. He doesn't have the hype of an Agudelo, but young defenders take longer to develop into gameday options.

Backe have no respect for any of the American players, even De Ro he try him like creep, he never has spend time to see if any American player can or not do his job, Ream was a exception because he don't have no a SOB to play there and have to go with him, but if he get some body like Ballouchi he will not let to him a chance to prove him self, that kind of SOB is Backe. piss on him....

Update on Conde as of today:

Red Bull are currently talking contact with Conde's agent. Conde will first need to agree in the cash and then accept the transfer from Chicago Fire. Once these two pieces are completed he'll be a Red Bull ( Toro Rojo )

Is there a source where you got this info from?

But I think it's good news. I have confidence that they will be able to work out his salary and he can join. At least Chicago is willing to trade with us.

Nah!...They are waiting if they can wrap a European player, because what the fu*ck with Ream and without Ream we need a player like Conde that can play CB and LB, living Holgersson at RB and Solli backing LB and RB if needed that we don't have...

With the way Backe is talking, it seems like it's only a matter of crossing the t's and dotting the i's at this point.

Conde loves USA (he realized it after living in Mexico) and next week he will arrive to a deal with the Red Bulls.
