The real story of the game- Ade's been able to stay onside.

Atkinson levels things up by not giving Everton a deserved penalty.

Everton's been bad-not Bolton bad, mind you- but their fans should be happy with safety this year.

    Good 3 points, fully deserved.

Livermore and Dawson were both flawless today, really good performances.

Make that three. I was expecting a bloodbath. He had some lovely tackles in there and not any egregious mistakes.
I loved loved loved seeing Benny make a fool of Cakes like that. And then the petulant little thing goes and steps on poor Benny's toes and gets booked. Hehe. And how good was that goal, going in off of Cahill's ass like that?

Glad to have egg all over my face. I thought he would be horrible but he had a great game. I know have a small smidgeon of confidence in him as our 3rd stringer. This game could be the making of his Spurs career.

Hopefully it wasn't just that Everton were poor offensively. I guess we shall see in the future.

Frankly that had a lot to do with it... Cahill was playing central midfield, which he rarely does. Surprised Osman and Rodwell weren't out there. Saha has been worthless this season.

They weren't great but Moyes said he was pleased with them after the game. Felliani was in their midfield and Livermore stood up well to him.

on two occasions in the first half, everton took the ball quite effortlessly through the middle of the pitch toward our box, and i recall commenting to my mates that were either parker or sandro playing, no such thing would've happened. i had pointed out coming in that without either of those two, there'd be quite a bit of pressure on our back line, and that our best defense tonight would be to control possession throughout.

well, i am pleased to have been wrong about them putting us under pressure, and while i do put much of it down to our possession (63%, i somewhere read), there is no doubt that livermore was up to it tonight. i still want parker and/or sandro back asap, of course; but it was a very settling performance from jake - particularly in the second half.

... and the rest of 'em, too. i feared a potential banana skin this evening. i shouldn't have worried.

I like how the lads are adjusting to having to uncrack defenses. We aren't rushing but when we have that brief chance we gotta take it. Ade, I'm looking at you. Our fast break chances always get you to the edge of the seat.
