Goal spouting off about Berbatov and Shaqiri bids.

I like both of them. Would kick ass. Berba is a good back up option for Gomez and could light a fire under Mario if he's underperforming.
Shaqiri has been developing nicely in the Swiss league and had some sensational performances in the CL this season. Would'nt mind him as backup.

Berbatov is too old to make an investment in him imo.

Shaqiri I would be fine with as long as we bought and then loaned Usami as well. That could even be part of the deal, we buy Shaqiri and loan Usami to Basel. :p:D

Berbatov and Shaqiri would be great additions but I dont see Berbatov leaving Man U's bench to sit on ours when he wants to leave for playing time

    I would have:

    Hummels
    Badstuber
    Howedes

Howedes is a great addition, but since we have boateng it doesn't seem to make much sense to me.

We have now Boa+Bads+DvB+Breno but in summer the contracts of DvB and Breno expire so we need certainly another good CB or extend 1 year with DvB......

I think that despite the romance between the NT and Bayern FO, Bayern are just looking for a center back to back up Boateng and Badstuber. It seems completely counterintuitive, unless Boateng has acquiesced to this, that Bayern want to keep him playing as a fullback if he doesn't want to.

I don't really think they care what Boateng wants or thinks. If they decide to use him out wide they'll do that. Also doubt they'd spend close to 20m on a backup, a CB for that matter. Hell, they reluctantly shell that out for an attacking player.

I understand your reasoning, but it seems fairly counterproductive. It is essential that a coach/club should establish a relationship with their players.

However, Boateng might accept that offer under the guise that with Mertesacker, Badstuber and Hummels all contending for CB he has no immediate future with the NT except at fullback.

I agree, its no way to treat your players.

Then again, you play something like 50 club matches a season and only what 5-10 internationals. Why cater to that?

bE RIGHT GUYS, WE SURELY NEED A cb -sorry I had the caps lock inserted- and Höwedes is the best choice, so a fullback too, but I was thinking als RM to Renato Augusto von Bayer Neverkusen, why not? He's really good and could be a good replacement 4 Robben after we losed Reus.....

RA is an AM. He's also quite injury prone. Not sure that's the best move, talented player though.

I wonder if this was made clear to him before signing. He was fairly transparent with his intentions when he made the transfer that he thought going to Bayern were a better move for his international goals. Well, sir, here you are.

I think he was brought in specifically for CB and he was told that, which is why he was so eager to get here.

11.30 GMT Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov is travelling to Germany for talks over a return to Bayer Leverkusen, while there is also interest from Bayern Munich and Anzhi Makhachkala, according to Sky Sports.

I don't really see the need for a 'bomb' striker anyways. Berbatov would provide solid, experienced back-up for Gomez if he doesn't raise too much of a stink about being on the bench. Right now, I'm happy with Olic as a back-up, but obviously he's not happy enough on the bench.

There's a difference: Olic can play as winger while Berbatov is a typical striker, if he accepts the bench in Manchester he'd do the same with us but I'm sure he'll never join FC Bayern......:(

With another LB would be perfect cause Rafinha is a RB and Lahm played some years RB, Cissokho is really good but never linked to Bayern.....

There has to be a reason why every single coach that has had the chance to work with Boateng has chosen to play him as RB. I truly think that the FO wanted him to come in and play as CB, but Heynckes doesn't think he is good enough.
