One of the ECS folks from the 253 Defiance sub-group (one of the few missing scarves) made a blanket from all those half-and-half sounders game day scarves. Most of them went on super sale for like 3 bucks recently so it still ended up expesive for a home made blanket but pretty cool looking.
Does Seattle do a half and half scarf for every game? My cousin just sent me the Seattle-Colorado one as a gift and I was surprised because we weren't there for any "event" game. The Rapids do a half and half one for the first home game every year, but that's it.
I'm not entirely sure. I think they just decided to print up a bunch without dates and see how many seasons it would take to sell out. Personally I hate wearing another teams colors and crest at the same time as my own.
Sounders did one for every home game in 2010. They clearly did not sell sufficiently, because they weren't offered in 2011. They had excess from the previous season that they were selling dirt cheap before the 2011 regular season finale (vs San Jose) in October.
Agreed, the only Rapids ones I own (other than the Sounders one that was gifted to me) was the one from the inaugural game at the Dick that has the date on it and the one I got this year as a "gift" from the team for renewing my season tickets early. I put gift in quotes because its a Rocky Mountain Cup scarf that has both the Rapids and Salt Lake logo on it. I refuse to wear anything with a Salt Lake logo on it and I hung it on my wall with the Salt Lake logo tucked behind it so it can't bee seen.
Here's the scarf we (Crew Union) put together for the Newcastle friendly last year, it's the only scarf I think any of the groups put out last year: The bar scarfs we sell every year are still popular: Will have a new scarf this year but haven't released the design yet.
The one I bought does. Unless it's a 'big' match I don't really see the point for home fans; however, as an away fan or a neutral it's kinda cool keepsake.
The only time you'll ever see green on our scarves. Close to selling the first number of 300, I imagine they're ordering more now.
Amazing job by the Cauldron. Very impressive. If SKC gets into CCL next year the pattern on the back would make for an interesting elements on a 3rd jersey.
I think we've unofficially adopted argyle as a group. Was the most popular scarf last year and probably will be again this year. Wouldn't mind to see an absurd 3rd done up in it.
