What does it mean when you say Verdy has won the Youth Club? Is that some kind of a Cup? Anyway thaks for this report this looks interesting.
There's three major youth competitions in Japan for club teams. 1. Prince Takamodo Cup (League structure with relegation and such) http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E9%AB%98%E5%86%86%E5%AE%AE%E6%9D%AFU-18%E3%82%B5%E3%83%83%E3%82%AB%E3%83%BC%E3%83%AA%E3%83%BC%E3%82%B0 This year's winner was Sanfrecce Hiroshima 2. J-Youth Cup http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jリーグユース選手権大会 This year's winner was Nagoya Grampus 3. Japan Club Youth Tournament http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/日本クラブユースサッカー選手権_(U-18)大会 This year's winner was Tokyo Verdy
Saw that this club is bottom of the 10-club-Austrian league... However, did he sign his extension yet?
http://www.nikkansports.com/soccer/news/p-sc-tp1-20111230-882975.html Cerezo offering Kiyotake the No. 8 shirt for the new season, Morishi's and Kagawa's former number, which probably means he is going to stay at least until the Olympics?
That's sure. He deserved that number, although Kagawa and mostly Morishima are (now) way better than him. Isn't the great Ryuji Bando good enough? I love him, he's really good.
i thought Kiyotake still has contract till 2013 or 2014? they announced contract renewels for 2012 with several players, incl. him: http://www.cerezo.co.jp/news_detail.asp?c_idx=10006901&contents_code=100100100
Oh "jesus christ" extend the contract with Kakitani already Cerezo and make it a 5 years deal or something Seriously if they manage to somehow screw this one up I am going to facepalm heavily
Bando scored 9 goals as a sub and just one as a starter in 2011 J.League. So Bando is great. As a sub.
Cerezo didn't have too many options up front, apart from experienced players of Bando and Komatsu, they only had two rookies in Nagai and Sugimoto. Nagai faded away in the latter stages of the season, the clubs probably relying on Sugimoto to become their ace striker for the future to help out Bando (Maybe even Kakitani).
Kakitani - Kim Bo-Kyung - Kyotake seems like a promissing midfield trio for 2012. Their CF will probably be Kempes, who played for América-MG, relegated in Brazilian league last year.
How is Amaral doing these days ? Such an awesome player in 2010, I wish Martinez came back instead of him.
Martinez bids farewell to the club, he wasn't really influential anymore, and they bring in Kempes who had a decent goalscoring record in Brazil last year (13 goals)
The U17 team toured in France and came back with three wins a draw : 3-2 vs AJ Auxerre, 3-0 vs Le Mans, 4-2 vs Tours FC and 2-2 vs Paris FC. http://www.parisfootballclub.com/le-paris-fc-tient-la-dragee-haute-a-osaka_1027598.html
http://www.cerezo.co.jp/news_detail.asp?c_idx=10007111&contents_code=100100100 Minamino training with the top team and participated in a training match.
A player to watch out for this season is Kazuya Murata. He already broke into the first team in the last 3-4 matches last year, and he impressed a lot. Also started several of Cerezo's Emperor's Cup matches in December, and he's likely to see more playing time this season. Maybe the next big thing from Cerezo?
SSJ Murata!!! [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8TQKQm4V1g&feature=player_detailpage#t=378s"]??J??? ??????????PLUS ???????? ??? - YouTube[/ame]
Looking forward to seeing how well Kakitani does this season, new manager now and by some reports it seems he had a solid season at Vortis. There's still plenty of time to live up to his potential.
They finally could win something this year. They seem really good. And - as playing-style - isn't Branquinho the younger brother of Leandro Domingues?
