Fair comment. The Yamaha is pretty much hemmed in on all sides although the home end seems to have some space behind it. It would mean tearing down that current stand and starting again, though.
What Yamaha really should do, is build a connection from the cluboffices behind and over to the new stand, build in business seats and some VIP Boxes, in this way the income stream from other sponsors than Yamaha would be encouraged to participate in the club.
[ame="http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xn693x_yyyyyyyyyy-yyy_sport"]?????????? ??? - Video Dailymotion@@AMEPARAM@@http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/video@@AMEPARAM@@video[/ame] The construction of Yajin Stadium with capacity of 7000 in Tottori should start in April and in 2013 it should become the new Gainare home stadium.
Teams can choose to have a stadium of 3000 if they like as long as they won't be turning people away, should they also have ACCESS to a nearby stadium of at least 15000 should it be necessary. Last year Gifu's stadium was a capacity of less than 4000 I believe.
Vendo does it mean that as long as J-League clubs has one home ground with 10.000 seats, 1.500 lux light etc... they can play at a small stadium for other matches? or else it doesnt correspond with Machida not being allowed to play J-League last season. Again I remember that Yajin stadium would be for the reserves and Gainare Dreams or am I remembering totally wrong?
It is not required for Tottori, because they already Torigin Bird Statdium, which holds more then 10k, if I recall correctly. This stadiaum is merely going to be their secondary home. Now as for Gifu, they were given special permission because their main stadium were going through a upgrade.
So thats the reason why Consadole can play in Hakodate and Muroran too..... I must admit that it makes the rule of at least 10k seats at stadium at J2 level at shame. Why have a 10k seater ground if the club can play at a smaller ground .........
because they wish to make sure that clubs have enough sits if there is a bigger game and more people come to watch. However they dont force them to have 2000 people sitting on a 12.000 capacity stadium if not necessary
well in my eyes the stadium rules has always been totally ridiculous, now i see them as even more ridiculous.
Well, I feel that the stadium rules are enforced to see if the local governments have an understanding with the football club. Usually, the governments are the one that owns the stadium.
I'm putting the finishing touches on a 70 page book which, among other things, profiles every J1 home ground for 2012 with over 140 pictures from around the nation's stadiums. (The "other things" are aimed at first timers or new visitors, giving full access information etc) We're about a month or so away yet from being ready to go on general sale, but watch this space. I believe it's the first time all this information and amount of pictures will be available in print.
It's an independent production, to be printed on demand, so shipping will be available anywhere. PoD does mean a slightly higher price, though. I can't really commit the capital to run off a cheaper bulk order in case they don't sell. EDIT Here's a little more information, and some preview pages. watchingfootballinjapan.com
WOW...this is EXACTLY what I need! Making my 1st visit to Japan this May...staying in Korakuen in central Tokyo (Hotel Wing International)...and really want to go see Urawa Red Diamonds in Saitama and this guide appears to be the answer to all my questions (purchase & cost of tix, train directions to/from stadium, gameday planning, "watering holes" to meet/greet, etc.)! Thanks, Shizuoka...will the guide be printable, so I can have my own copy?
As he said in his post, it's print-on-demand. And be aware that there are fewer casual "meet and greet" gatherings for supporters in Japan than in other countries, as has been discussed in other threads.
Yep, as dokool says, it's print on demand and will be available via a link on the watchingfootballinjapan.com blog. It's just having the final few finishing touches put to it and will be available to order in early February.
That looks like a nice fan guide. Would you by any chance be interested in collaborating, and helping to update the stadium data on the Rising Sun News? I have been collecting photos (jpg files) of stadiums all over Japan, for about three years, with plans to update the stadiums section. The collection includes large (around 1000x1000 pixel) gif scans of the stadium graphic they use on the official J.League site, as well as some very good shots of under-appreciated places like MyFC's stadium in Fujieda, or places like Hakodate and Muroran. If we pooled resources Im sure you could greatly improve the content on the RSN, and in turn, I could give you a lot of additional graphics to use in your book. If you are interested, drop me an e-mail
Ordered a softcover copy online & should get it by February 8...perfect timing for my trip to Japan in May! Can't wait to read it...arigato!!
Cheers, GalaxyFan03! Much appreciated. Hope you find it useful. Matsu, I'll send you an email when I get a minute!
Ive uploaded most of the photos (scaled down to 650px width) onto the site, so you can see what there is in terms of quantity and quality. If the photo is on a page then I have at least an 800px version of it, and in many cases much larger (I think Ive even got a few 2000x3000 images in there...). All of the J1 and J2 stadiums (official home stadia) are already live, so if you just go to the page below and start clicking links youll see the photos that are available. Ill do the same for all the less frequented stadiums some time tomorrow. As you can see, though, the pages for a lot of the smaller stadiums are a mess, with little more than a blank template and a bunch of pictures. I hope you can help me get them into some sort of shape . . . . http://www.the-rising-sun-news.com/news/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=509&Itemid=118
I got some shots as well (most of them 4000x3000) if u're still looking for pics. I saw the preview of ur book, and I could atleast help u with better pics from Atsubetsu and Sapporo Dome ( ur pics were nice, but it would be better if the stadium was packed), and got some nice ones of other stadiums as well.
