It's October and rumors are starting to pile up. For all you who are salivating over a Brek Shea move to ManU . . . I went back and looked at a lot of old transfer rumors threads and didn't see a single "rumor" posted in the first post that ever came true. Just my two cents.

Here's a link to the final list from the 2011 Summer Transfer Thread (mad props to prowazeki for his hard work, hopefully he keeps it up in this thread!):

    https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showpost.php?p=24342759&postcount=250

    Current rumors:

    1. Jeremiah White to Montreal Impact
    2. Brek Shea to Every Top Club in Europe
    3. My daughter (3 years old) to the Atlanta Braves (she has a pink glove and is convinced they will let her play next time we go to a game)

    Cheers!

This rumour is not very specific but Hammarbys director of sports recently said in an interview:

"If (when) we survive this and remain a Superettan team in 2012 then new players will be coming in from many different places. This could mean that we pick up free transfers from Allsvenskan or Superettan. It could also mean players on loan from Allsvenskan clubs or LA Galaxy. Players from other MLS teams who wants to try their luck in europe might also turn up. We could also use external financing to be able to buy players from other swedish clubs. We're working simultaneously on a wide range of options in our upcoming player recruitments."

I don't know how good LA Galaxy reserves are, but pretty much anything is better then the current Hammarby squad so this might be a good opportunity for a couple of benchwarmers to come over and become heroes of southern Stockholm.

To give some more context, Hammarby is 49% owned by AEG so that's where the LA Galaxy connection comes from. The club is currently in a sorry state and look likely to end up playing relegation playoffs in a few weeks to stay up in Superettan (the second tier of swedish football).

Thanks, FirstStar! I've stickied this thread for future reference.

Also, you should look into whether the Red Sox will interview your daughter for the managerial position...

While I don't think Shea will be at Man U next January, I do think he is in for a big time move to a European club because of the rumors about EVERY major club wanting him. Hope so and we'll see.

Let me also remind folks that these threads are for easy reference and for the compilation of transfer rumors. As such, they're not intended for discussion or speculation, which take place in player-specific threads.

Well, in that case, put me in one of those rumors, I have been rumored to getting transferred to Miami F.C.

Anyway, Brek Shea has been getting some clubs on him, not just the EPL, but
now a rumor is appearing that some La Liga teams are interested in him.

I can't vouch for how accurate this rumour is but supposedly Hammarby has held interviews with two potential managers for next season. One from Scotland and the other from the US.

Adding on to the previous Hammarby news the club have already dumped 8 players from their squad and word is that 2-6 more will leave and 6-10 new players will be brought in. Forum rumours (maybe not that reliable) say that two of those will be players on loan from the US. Then there's also a rumour from a journalist (who is usually reliable) that one or more american players will arrive in the middle of November to trial with the club.

    Wondo to Europe?

I STILL think that Wondolowski can become a part of our national team and succeed, given the right opportunity. He is an out-and-out finisher, bottom line. Just because he didn't do it in a halfway opportunity with the Nats doesn't mean he can't do it. Jozy is good, but he isn't a true finisher. We need Wondo to run up top.

Seeing him in Holland would be nice, but I would prefer to see him in a little bit larger league, maybe Germany or a lower-tier Premiership team. That might be a little bit of a stretch though. His finishing in the box is untouchable in the States.

Since there has been a lot of activity in the trials and transfer rumor department and not much going on in this thread, I thought I would jump back in here and get a list together.
I may have missed something since I haven't been paying attention as closely as during previous windows, so let me know if you see something I have omitted.
I have also included some things that are in the past now (for instance the Wondo to Feyenoord rumor), in order to have a more complete record of the cycle.
As it is difficult to differentiate between training stints and trials in many cases, I have included any that might have the slightest chance of being a trial to make the list as inclusive as possible.

As with last years list many of the transfers or rumors are accompanied by a link to a corresponding report. Mouse over team name to get the link.
Bold indicates a completed transfer, blue font means new since last update (as this is my 1st list they are all blue).

Edgar Castillo from Club América to Tijuana (Mexico 1st)
Dominic Cervi from Celtic to Morton on loan (Scotland 2nd)
Marc Pelosi from DeAnza Force to Liverpool (England 1st)
Paul Rachubka from Leeds to Tranmere Rovers on loan (England 3rd)
Etchu Tabe from RoPS to KuPS (Finland 1st)

He is Venezuelan. I haven't seen anything that says he is an American citizen yet
