they've improved somewhat this season, but since Mancini has been boss they've been dull. He's the George Graham of modern English football (successful but produces dull teams).

In the Champions League they're boring (tbf, all the English clubs are).

Barcelona are, by quite a margin, the most boring team in the world. I'm not saying that what they do isn't impressive. But, damn, their matches are snooze-fests.

A gunner through and through. Mancini will win them a trophy or two to validate all the spending, then the Sheiks will get someone who can bring some exciting footy to the stadium. It's pretty similar to Mourinho's Chelsea...god, I couldn't stand to watch that club. Just like RA, i'm sure they'll get bored with just grinding out PL trophies year after year and look for some excitement.

I disagree. As someone who plays the game (not at all implying that you do not), I really like watching a team that can move the ball around like that....where even their defenders can hit nice one touches under pressure.

Xavi said it best in a Guardian interview. It's not that they play boring, it's that the other team plays, tight, defensive against Barca. In turn, that forces Barca to move ping the ball around looking for a seam or a bit of space.

But isn't the way Mancini is playing, isn't that Italian football from about a decade ago. Tight, cagey, very organized. Yes, it's boring. As Jose's Chelsea's teams were boring.

I like Jen's comments because it could serve to destabilize Man City. They have a bunch of good players and they play like Birmingham. Shameful.

Barca has been accusing their opponents of playing "anti-football" for years. I don't but it - it's just very difficult to play any type of football when they have the ball for 80% of the match. We know this. Also, I am impressed by what Barca can do, I just don't find their matches all that enjoyable to watch.

Plus, I hate the club and most of it's players. But I'm trying to be objective, here! :p

It doesn't have to be Barca, It happens to our own Gunners too. Teams pack it in and we look boring in stretches.

I think there are other ways to play Barca as we exhibited in the Champions League last year. We played attractive football and almost got the best of 'em. Many teams just choose not to.

I agree, that they're matches can be boring. I've fallen asleep watching them, but I odn't believe that's their fault as much as the other team. I've seen them play wide open when they are allowed to and I think that's what they prefer.
