Decent match so far. If HOYO can keep MYFC from winning tomorrow will be a lot more exciting.

Crap. Fujieda MyFC vs. HOYO finishes 0-0, and then HOYO wins penalties 7-6.

If Sagamihara win today against YSCC they will be very comfortably in the lead. Down to the final day!

And YSCC scores what may end up being its biggest goal ever.

And that one may have sealed it. YSCC will surely be in the top 2.

Gets interesting for MyFC now. Will YSCC play a weakened side and have less enthusiasm tomorrow? Will Sagamihara finally play well against HOYO?

    Sunday matches:
Fujieda MyFC (4 pts) vs. YSCC (6 pts - already promoted)
Sagamihara (0 pts) vs. HOYO (2 pts)

Realistically HOYO has to lose and Sagamihara has to win, and MYFC is also guaranteed at least a playoff place.

Musashino and Kusatsu did better than expected today. Takasaki isn't out of the woods yet.

Nice to see Matsumoto Yamaga might earn promotion to J2.

If Fujieda beats YSCC it will be promoted over them I think. There might only be a play off against Sony Sendei left for YSCC if that happens. If Nagasaki and Zelvia pick up enough points from their final 2 games to push Yamaga down to 5th. Yamaga are not there yet !

Sony Sendai is in JFL next year regardless.

    JEF's out.

If one JFL team is promoted, that makes 2 automatic promotions to JFL and one playoff. If two JFL teams are promoted, the 3 top teams in this contest are promoted to JFL.

With Machida and Matsumoto now all but promoted, can you imagine it if in 2013 Yokohama FC or Oita Trinita are down in the JFL battling against Yokohama SCC or Hoyo Elan respectively? Where does the JFA get its brains?

Tochigi destroys Nagasaki! Machida and Matsumoto win!

Matsumoto is promoted! Machida is almost a guarantee, meaning Takasaki is reprieved again by losing to Machida, just as to Gifu in the past.

YSCC, MyFC, and HOYO are all automatically JFL!

All this IF Machida doesn't lose hugely and Nagasaki doesn't win by a massive margin.

One of the best years for non-league wrap ups and an extra exciting 2012 to come!

In 3 years in England, Manchester United could theoretically be playing against London Metropolitan Police. That's the nature of promotion and relegation and clubs usually deserve it either way.

This means J2 will have 22 clubs next year (almost guaranteed). It will be interesting to see the next big plan. I wonder if they stick with what they have announced to the public in the past: promotion and relegation between J2 and JFL (for eligible clubs only).

The other possibility is the creation of J3. But with the time frame, the new season starting in less than 4 months, I doubts this will happen next year. Probably 2013 at the earliest.

Since Sagamihara didnt go to JFL will they now be promoted to Kanto League 1?

Most likely that will happen since they are Kanto League 2 champions and Yokohama SCC is vacating their Kanto League place

Yes I read on some Sagamihara boards that they will play at Kanto League 1, thats at least promotion.

Guess what happens with the extra spot at Kanto League 2? Hopes it will go to Tokyo23 they blew one match all season to Mitsubishi Yowa.

Typically relegated clubs are saved instead of others being promoted.

Yes I do agree with your point there Vendo. Its a littlebit odd that only in Japan its more difficult to get promoted than relegated.

Its covered somehow up because J-League has been axpanding until now but there seems to be a tendency of when you once achieve a certain status you cant loose it again unless you withdraws (like Yokozunas in Sumo)
