Hi there, I currently wear a pair of Predator Manias and they are a great boot, but the durability of them is not that great. The Soles seperate from the boot far too easily (most of my team has them and has the same problem). I'm thinking of going back to a traditional boot. I was thinking of Copa Mundials, Lotto Stadio and Asics Testimonial. Any others I should look at?

I think that you should go with the Copa Mundials. A few players on my team have them and they last quite a while and I love the classic look. So my advice is Copas.

I really like the copas but i had to switch because the soles would tend to wear through to the hard cardboard underneath. maybe i just run weird.

If you're gonna buy Copa's, I'd wait till June. The reular Copa (manufactured in Indonesia) will be phased out and the entire Copa line will be fabricated in Germany. No need to buy German Copas. Saving about $20!

Thanks for the heads up Adi, I didn't even know that bit of info, I hope aht includes the mundials,WC's, and the indoors as well.

Anyhow Bashir if I were you I would look at the stadios's and the german copa's as a choice and maybe even the puma kings and nike tiempo permiers.

I have had all of these boots and to be honest they perform better than the high tech boots i have had like the Azt 2 and 3 and the vapor from nike and the pred's from adidas. The new aviero from adidas is quite nice looking and it replaces the supernova line, which is one of the few high tech boots that i like to play in.

Thanks for that Adi, I guess my predators will hold out till June. I've glued them a few times now :D . Im in Australia so I hope we get the German Copas around then too. Somehow I don't think it will happen though.

The regular Copa style number is 015508 and the German Copa is 015110. If you are buying the German, see if they have the regular in stock. Ask to see them all and if one of the regular Copa's is made in Germany you just saved $20.00. As of June all Copa's will be made in Germany and the "German Copa" will be obsolete.

I don't know him personally. He is a member of this other goalkeeper's forum thing. The guy knows his stuff...he's been in the business for something like 10 years.
