I hate the fact that Bellamy pretty much owns us.

Porto have been shit this year without AVB. Its a miracle they even up in the standings. The new Porto coach is on the brink of getting fired. Will be surprised if he lasts the season.

On another note, can someone please explain to me, how the **** is Dowd still employed by the FA?

Does it really matter if these mistakes happen on a consistent basis?

If you don't want any context, I guess not, but me? I like actually not being reactionary and using horrible logic.

Anelka is lazy. Can't wait to see the back of him. Didn't even attempt to pressure to goalkeeper. At least Torres tried.

    this

really getting tired of the "we only lose because of individual errors" card being played

I agree. Aren't the majority of goals scored on the back if such errors. Apart from a few long distance rockets, I can't think of a goal that didn't result from some sort of error.

Quite the opposite Pete, you're just the other side of the same coin, no better. :)

You can blame or not blame whoever you want, but the bottom line, we are not getting results. The fact that we keep leaking stupid goals does come down to not managing the defense. I'm not suggesting putting blame on AVB, but he does not get a free passs just b/c our players make mistakes.

I'm just going to say it-- What the F is wrong with Torres? Not today, like OVER ALL? I know his confidence is shot, but it doesn't even look like he wants the ball anymore.

we have been losing because our strikers suck and arent scoring goals.

I'm tired of this Torres experiment, Anelka sucks, and we got DD with his mind already on another team with money in his eyes.

In hindsight we should have made more of an effort to sign Falcao. Wish we could bring someone in Jan, but who will be willing to part with a top class striker in jan?

I think he's frustrated and it's now a cumulative effect of low confidence, little minutes, poor service, etc...

Come on now, we are an attacking team. Look at all the goals we score.

Chelsea of the past would dominate this midfield. We used to dominate these matches. I still don't think Ram is most effective playing as the RCM in a 4-3-3. In a diamond with a dynamic AM or as a RM in a 4-4-2 I think he's excellent. His passing isn't up to par.

EDIT: What was Bos trying to do there? That is a 1/1000 pass he was trying to attempt. Taking the ball launched in the air and trying a deft pass into a foot of space for the forward, all with his LEFT foot. That's called not knowing the limitations of your game.

    :D

to both and 'Geezer- feel free to count how many times we get the ball into the final third only to turn around and drop it back and work it square to the central defenders

    it is amazing at times

City did it with Dzeko last season. Perhaps we could take a risk with Farfan of Schalke. He'd solve the RW/CF problem and he's a workhorse with solid set pieces.

the lack of options are not helping him but he seems suited where he can press and push the tempo and get help from attacking player who gives him an easy option and a tactically disciplined midfielder who wont leave him out to dry

OK, well let's get back to the league this weekend, put JT and Sturridge back in, try and get three(okay, or one) point at Newcastle, and not lose at Valencia. As much as I hate losing to Liverpool, and as much as we sucked, at least it was the Carling Cup(I know, I know....that's what we always say every year!!) but I guess it could have been worse. It just seems like a shambles right now. :(:(

While I think Bertrand is a solid fullback, especially in the defensive aspect; however, we've literally seen nothing from him going forward on a consistent basis. He isn't a player who dominates a flank like A.Cole or Bridge. Not that he should be in their class this young, but if he's to be used a Chelsea you need a very good winger who will HOLD the ball in the forward area and let him run on so that we can make use of his crossing.

never a big fan of the old "lets sell x, y and z..."

but if this is the best some of our players have to offer then perhaps some wholesale changes should be on the cards
