I know it's a long shot, but my cousin is a long-time Arsenal supporter and will be in London for Everton on December 10. Does anyone have access to a single ticket to that match? Thanks in advance for the help. Nick
Tell them to keep an eye on Arsenal's website as the match might end up on general sale. http://www.arsenal.com/membership/buy-tickets If it doesn't, keep in touch here as there is a decent chance that someone will have a spare the day of the game.
The Man. Utd. tickets went on sale today. There only appears to be upper tier at £100 left! I will be in the USA and therefore will not be using my 2 memberships for that game. If anyone wants to buy tickets on them and use them, then drop me a line ASAP and I will give you the details. I can also get 1 ticket for the Everton game although I will be in Norway at that time, but can make arrangements so you can collect it, and even buy it ahead of time if you want to. P.M. me on both counts those that are interested.
JeffL I just wanted to say a collective thanks for all the ticket generosity you offer to so many. I've never used "your services" (unless RickB did for me without my knowledge) but someday maybe I will. I can't afford to get over every year (last time was '08) but I really want to! So next time I do... if the ArseAm process doesn't work as well for me as in the past, I maybe comin your way!
I'd like to echo NorthBank's thanks to JeffL. In helping supporters on this side of the Atlantic see the Arsenal live, he's taking a lot of risk out of the process (relying on touts). Thanks again Jeff.
FA Cup match against Leeds -- will this sell out? Apologies in advance if this is not the right place to pose this question, but: I'll be in London for work on 9 January. It's always been a dream for me to see Arsenal live in a competitive match (I was fortunate to see one match at Highbury way back in 1991, but that was a testimonial.) What are the chances that this game doesn't sell out? I know tickets are very difficult to come by, but thought I might have a better chance for this one, given it is FA Cup and Arsene will probably play the youngsters. If anyone has any opinions on this, I'd be happy to hear them. I am hesitant to spring for a red membership just for a chance at tickets, and was wondering if these might make it to general sale. (I am not interested in buying from touts.) Thanks a lot in advance!
Re: FA Cup match against Leeds -- will this sell out? Leeds on a Monday, yes? It should go on sale to red members in 2 days, on the 9th? Or does that month rule only apply to league games?
Re: FA Cup match against Leeds -- will this sell out? Hi zdog We sometimes have odd tickets available but I notice you don't list an allegiance to any club in your profile. We usually like to give tix to Arsenal supporters and I have a vague recollection of you being in London last January and lamenting the fact that you couldn't get a ticket for Spurs v Charlton in the FA Cup. Nothing wrong with being a general follower of football of course if that's the case.
Re: FA Cup match against Leeds -- will this sell out? Ah Grimmster, that's a fantastic memory you have (or maybe you are just good with the BigSoccer search tool?)! I come to London once a year for work in January, always arriving overnight from the States on a Sunday, and last year Arsenal played on Saturday, if memory serves! While I am an Arsenal fan, I certainly don't want to take a ticket away from a true supporter -- especially if someone is making a long trip to London and via this board is their only realistic shot at attending a match. My view is that you can only ever support one club fully and unequivocably -- the one you supported as a child. In my case, that was the Minnesota Kicks of the old NASL, and while my brother and I used to pretend to be Charlie George when we were kicking around in our back yard, based on our fondness for him when he had his short stint in Minnesota (setting the record for fastest playoff goal btw, in a memorable match against the NY Cosmos), that (and Kicks goalie Geoff Barnet) is the only childhood connection I have to Arsenal. While I have seen matches all over the world (including crazy stuff like a World Cup qualifier in Laos, a Boca-River superclasico, and a UEFA Cup riot at Sparta Prague when I had season tickets there), I have never been to a competitive match in England. The Ray Kennedy testimonial at Highbury mentioned above was the only time I got a ticket in England. This Arsenal match is my one shot for 2012, and I'll roll the dice and hope that something goes up for general sale. That said, I expect I'll have to try again in 2013!
Re: FA Cup match against Leeds -- will this sell out? Okay - you are making the right noises. Until that mention of Geoff Barnett! I'm sure there will be spare tickets for the Leeds game.
Re: FA Cup match against Leeds -- will this sell out? guys i just signed up for arsenal america yesterday and payed up via paypal. i attempted to request tickets for the game vs norwich but i never got a confirmation e mail. so today i tied again, and i still haven't received a confirmation e mail. whenever i hit the "submit ticket request" button, the page doesn't really seem to change either, so it doesn't really look like the request is actually going through. anybody know what's up?
Re: FA Cup match against Leeds -- will this sell out? If you have a twitter or facebook account, try it there. Sadly ArseAm has fallen from what it used to be.
Re: FA Cup match against Leeds -- will this sell out? ArseAm is a shadow of its former self, unfortunately.
Re: FA Cup match against Leeds -- will this sell out? I wonder what the reason or reasons for this. From what I can see on Arsenal.com, iTunes and other media outlets, Arsenal is growing. Maybe new/fresh leadership is needed to rejuvenate? Not meant as a personal attack; life happens.
Re: FA Cup match against Leeds -- will this sell out? From my standpoint, the ticketing process is an issue. Away tickets aren't available anymore, although I'm not faulting ArsenalAmerica for that. The request time has increased from 9 weeks to 12 and from what I've seen on these boards, it appears the confirmation process is not as smooth as it once was where a lot of people nervously wait for confirmation of their tickets. If you've booked a flight and hotel and are waiting to hear whether you've actually gotten your ticket, it can be stressful. There are also a number of old-timers on these boards who have developed personal relationships with UK based supporters who can get tickets through those contacts rather than from ArseAm.
Re: FA Cup match against Leeds -- will this sell out? yeah so i've still heard nothing from any of the ways i've attempted to contact them, and i also tried to join the arsenal tickets group on facebook to see if i could find any options that way. for some reason they won't accept me into the group?! do i have a banning order from the emirates or something i don't know about?
Re: FA Cup match against Leeds -- will this sell out? thanks for another option. just a little annoyed because i did pay 25 dollars to be in arsenal america...
Ritz, were you able to get a ticket? Check your inbox as I sent you a facebook group that might be able to help you with tickets.
