So, it's official. http://www.chron.com/sports/dynamo/article/Dynamo-s-Davis-ruled-out-for-Sunday-s-MLS-Cup-2270378.php Torn Quadriceps.
Even worse news: http://www.houstondynamo.com/news/2011/11/dynamo-forward-jason-garey-undergoes-surgery . The article goes on to state that they are attempting to graft portions of Abe Thompson's ligaments into Garey
keys to the game. duh!: http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2011/11/15/dynamo-guaranteed-dwarf-galaxy-mls-cup
There's a lot of Captain Obvious stuff going on here. They do kind of run out of things to write over a two-week period so I will cut them some slack. But stopping Houston on set pieces has been the "Keys to the Game" for most of the last half-decade.
ESPN College Game Day is in Houston this week. We need to get some people out there with a Dynamo sign. Maybe a UH fan that makes a sign that ties in the Dynamo. Anyhow, i think it would be cool to sneak on in there.
He wasn't really all that consistent. Down to: Bruin, Carr, Ching, and Costly; not to mention the number of midfielders that could also be forwards. Starting Line-up Prediction: [LINEUP-4-4-2]Ching, Carr, Ashe, Camargo (AM), Moffat (DM), Cruz, Taylor, Boswell, Cameron, Hainault, Hall[/LINEUP-4-4-2]

My suggestion to everybody going, go by Academy before you leave and get one of their orange ponchos. They are good, cheap, and... Orange. You really don't want to get caught at the game without one and have to use a Galaxy poncho.....
I would like to see a massive showdown between Joe Scarbourough and Don Garber in the control room. Don has Joe on the ropes, then through a window comes Oscar De La Hoya to deliver the victory blow as the ref blows the final whistle on the field, now audible through the broken window. they all get up shake hands and don hands out the trophy with a battered and bloody face. nobody bothers to ask what happened.
Yeah, Lot 18 is the place to be for Dynamo fans! Lot 18 has fencing around it so there is no danger of other fans coming in the area. There are no gas or charcoal grills of any kind allowed here on the HDC property, electric grills are OK. Of course there is no electricity though. There will be restrooms open at the track and field stadium across the street for you to use. With regards to alcohol consumption, please enjoy yourselves but note there are no kegs, glass bottles or cans allowed this weekend. This means pour all beverages into plastic cups and use those. There will be law enforcement patrolling to ensure this is happening.
Randy McIlvey just had a report on the pep rally, and said he would be live in LA this weekend. That's awesome, hopefully the other stations will be there too.
Jebus dude, just tell people to take a water cooler and mix some Dynamo Punch. AKA bourbon n sunkist. Easier than pouring beers into a plastic cup and a heckava lot cheaper. It's what we did in Frisco for our first ever MLS Cup tailgate!
heh nobius is way ahead of you brotato. He posted the recipe and a call for volunteers on the TA facebook group. We've been making the stuff every tailgate for the 2nd half of the season. I personally can't stand the stuff. I'll stick to beer.
KPRC has picked up the coverage (they were already pretty good IMO) and it wouldn't surprise me if next year the Dynamo go to 2.2 for buying time for their games. NBC will have a few MLS games next year.
Wow, Channel 2 is really pulling out all the stops. Not only will they be sending a reporter to LA, they are running "Olé, Dynamo!, beat the Galaxy" spots between shows. I'm getting more and more excited....
....on the other hand, KTLA sports has hockey, college basketball, high school football, baseball....
