And to something completely different. I just heard unoficially that Takasaki might fold this year. I know theyve had problems for many years. Can anyone enlighten me? oh Matsu if you wanna answer on this please do it short or else I dont read it.
The All-Japan Club Team Tournament, an equivalent of the Shakaijin for clubs lower than Regional League level, has been won this year by VONDS Ichihara from Chiba, who beat Nagoya Club 4-2 after extra time in Tuesday's final. VONDS have undergone a couple of name changes in recent years and have their roots in the old Furukawa Electric club. Most recently they were known as SAI Ichihara and it was under that name that they were relegated out of the Kanto League to the Chiba Prefectural League a year ago.
I wonder for how long could Yamaga fcuk the things up. In their last two games they managed only to draw against Yokogawa Musashino and JEF Reserves -- at home, ffs! They're still in top-4 but with one more game played, and another four teams are on their heels with two-point distance.
http://machida.keizai.biz/headline/990/ Machida may be approved for promotion (no grantees though). The article only says that Machida's president received "positive response" from the league. The league did, however mentioned "Make sure to finish in the top four. If and when you are promoted, please give a good fight for J1 Promotion race in the near future." Final results will be announced on the fifteenth.
I know I've become a broken record on this subject but I still don't how this will work. Verdy has no fans, FCT has stagnated because they are almost pathologically opposed to promoting themselves east of Shinjuku. Western Tokyo just can't sustain three clubs!
It seems like it can, seeing that Machida have decent enough numbers even in JFL. I think anything to bring new life into an area and create new rivals is better in he long run.
I just realized that because of all those schedule changes the two JFL title contenders are yet to play a game against each other. The first such encounter will take place next week in Nagano, and the (hopefully) decisive one will be left for the dessert on December 10th. The other thing to mention about the JFL is that Yamaga's task of top-4 finish appears next to impossible. They currently reside on fifth place, one point behind V-Varen, though having played one game more. In the remaining rounds V-Varen's schedule is probably the easiest possible: Tochigi Uva home and away, JEF Reserves home and away and MIO Biwako at home. I simply don't see where they can lose points, and they have to do this at least twice. Gainare Tottori, v 2.0?
Tokyo 23 FC were on Sunday knocked out of the play-offs to get into the Kanto League 2012. This means that as things stand next season they will be playing either in the JFL or in the Tokyo League.
Meanwhile in eastern Tokyo there's a plan to develop a J-League-focused club based off the back of Tokiwa Club, who currently play in Division Three of the Tokyo League. The name for the new team is Katsushika Vitoado (葛飾ヴィトアード). Details in Chunichi, here. There's also talk on Twitter that All-Japan Club Team Tournament champions VONDS Ichihara - who finished fourth in Division One of the Chiba Prefectural League - will merge with ECUSAS SC, a struggling Division Two team also based in Ichihara City, with the intention of enabling the development of a single club targeting a J-League spot.
Who did Tokyo23 loose out to? It seems they have been winning all the season until now. Did this not happen last year too?
To be fair, if you had a good chance to jump 3 levels in the pyramid, would you play hard and risk injury for about the same chance to go up only 1?
Tokyo 23 FC lost in the Second Round of the Kanto play-offs, 2-1 to Chiba prefectural champions Urayasu Junior SC - yet another club targeting a J-League place. In 2010 Tokyo 23 won the Tokyo League title, but lost 6-1 to SC Sagamihara in the play-offs to get into the Kanto League.
http://www.sponichi.co.jp/soccer/news/2011/11/15/kiji/K20111115002037850.html Three clubs, Matsumoto, Machida, and Sanuki were given the go.
Even Tokyo 23 won the all Shakaijin, the chance of getting a promotion to Kanto League 2 were bigger than being promoted to JFL.... Though I must admit I think I will root for them at the regional play offs. Anyways we will be much more wiser in 5 days or so.
Play-offs Group A / 18 Nov / JSC 2-5 YSCC, Banditonce 1-2 MyFC #chiikifinal Play-offs Group B / 18 Nov / Norbritz 0-1 Nara, Fukushima Utd 1-2 Sagamihara #chiikifinal Play-offs Group C / 18 Nov / Dezzolla 1-1 HOYO (PK 7-6), Kuroshio 0-5 Tokyo 23 #chiikifinal
Hmmmm although Kuroshio is a darkhorse, it seems that Tokyo23 and Sagamihara would be the 2 most realistic pics for JFL promotion this season as seen from the first match (lo0t can happen yet) and even I hate the idea that you can get promoted more than one level each season I prefer those compared to unsexy clubs as Hoyo, YSCC and JSC.
Play-offs Group A / 19 Nov / JSC 2-0 Banditonce, YSCC 1-1 MyFC (PK 3-4) #chiikifinal Play-offs Group B / 19 Nov / Norbritz 2-5 Fukushima Utd, Nara 0-1 Sagamihara #chiikifinal Play-offs Group C / 19 Nov / Dezzolla 5-1 Kuroshio, HOYO 1-0 Tokyo 23 #chiikifinal

Kakogawa and Kuroshio are thus eliminated. Let's see if the Shimane knuckleheads can keep Tokyo 23 in their place...
Honestly, if MyFC can make it, all other teams with a chance to advance are good quality for the JFL and are fighting to enter J2. I don't have a problem with any of them.
Woot! Fujieda MyFC win their last group match over JSC with a late goal - I believe in the 87th minute. Guess that means they win Group A and advance to the semis?
Play-offs Group A / 20 Nov / JSC 0-1 MyFC, Banditonce 0-2 YSCC #chiikifinal Play-offs Group B / 20 Nov / Norbritz 0-4 Sagamihara, Fukushima Utd 0-2 Nara #chiikifinal Play-offs Group C / 20 Nov / Dezzolla 0-1 Tokyo 23, Kuroshio 1-4 HOYO #chiikifinal
