As a matter of fact I did not because I had to work even though we had a trip planned i also posted my proposed flight plan even though four seats existed on plane and set a ticket exchange thread so spare me. I responded to the AEG conspiracy theory. The issue is MLS not caring about traveling fans only selling all tickets. LA did a good job of that but the fact that only a few hundred tickets were available is on Garber

I apologize completely sir. It's just that at the moment I know of two Dynamo fans selling tickets they bought for $30 at $75 to fellow SG members just because they see a quick buck. That pisses me off, and now I don't trust others.

I think not. If they were they'd be using them to go themselves or trying to help out real Dynamo fans.

I had to go to a funeral this afternoon and easily got tickets when I got back.

I started getting the error codes, but that was because I was not chaning the ticket request from "Best available" to "General Admission." Once I fixed that it worked easily.

I will likely have a few extras and will sell them to Dynamo supporters at cost. I have mine + two in the season ticket holder section. I then have four more on the grass berm. Those I bought Sunday night online.

Please don't take the following too harshly. It is meant as a constructive statement: I love our Supporters Group. I hear a lot of stuff about wanting to be independent of the FO and the team, and not wanting to coordinate what you do with the FO, but then bitching about the FO not ensuring you get tickets in this situation. I think that is a bit of a conflict that SG leaders might consider reflecting on. Should you really be able to have it both ways?

I hear you. I just think after this debacle we need to express our opinions on the process. And for it to matter it needs to be directed at the right spot..MLS. they will hear from me in two weeks.

Any so called "Dynamo Fan" who scalps tickets to other bonafide Dynamo supporters for more than they paid for them are not Dynamo Fans.

I wanted it for Greñas so I'm just a middle man. Lol...give it to him.

  11. That has nothing to do with being independent or not from the FO. We are NOT asking for free tickets, we are only saying that if that section is the "supporters section" then those tickets should only be in hand of the "supporters" or at least have the option of buying them first.

I want to stick up for the Dynamo front office here.

Those folks have been working their tales off to handle a compressed playoff schedule. They worked hard to get that playoff game sold, while at the same time sale 2012 season tickets while interest is high. (Which I assume we all want them to do and do well.) They are working long hours.

More importantly, the whole ticket thing is totally in the hands of the LA Galaxy as host team. Dynamo have no leverage on any decision -- all they can do is plead for us and turn stuff around.

To ask the Dynamo to have put time and effort ($$$) into planning for an MLS Cup trip before they qualify is just not realistic. Given reality I think they did great.

I hear ya. I just think human nature and ways of the world says that if you want such considerations then you have to be willing to work with them as well when it is important to them.

Shoot the messenger if you like. Evaluate for yourself and reach your own conclusion. I'm really not trying to criticise. Ignore me if you think I'm wrong. But my suggestion is that independence always comes with a price.

  16. And who tells you we don't work with them? who tells you we don't go to meetings with them and security when we are asked to? But that's fine, I'm not here to argue that... we just want to be able to buy tickets to go see our team win the 3rd MLS Cup, and thanks to each one of you that is helping us with that.

Good points, I think that is probably how it will work out... since it's GA people planning on standing and singing all game will gravitate one way and everyone else the other. Thankfully we'll all be in the same part of the stadium forming a large orange block!

I hear what you're saying but remember that we're the customer. They should be pushing to get us there just as much they've been pushing season tickets on us. I still get phone calls and emails to purchase season tickets even though I've bought three. I don't believe that this is all on the LA Galaxy. If our front office has no pull with then maybe they need someone else in charge. I can't believe that out of the 20,000+ seats all we could get was 900. All the seats that were sold to neutral fans could have gone to us first. And I'm not talking about the ones that went for sale early this year but the ones that went up Sunday night. I'm not saying it's all our FO's fault but some of it has to fall on them. They had from Sunday night till Tuesday morning to do something.

This is the best argument for a single table, and the highest seed getting to host the Cup I've ever heard. That eliminates neutrals getting tickets.

The other argument for keeping it as it is would be that if it were a single table - we wouldn't be discussing any of this.

Really? You realize if they did nothing we would have gotten 450 tickets, 100 of which go to family of the team and such. Instead we got 800-900. MLS screws the pooch, LA is incompetent and we want to blame our own FO because they can't turn 450 tickets into 2000. These guys busted their ass for two days to get us a special sale and extra tickets this stuff upsets me. They could have punted and let LA and MLS do what they wanted.

Also the game essentially sold out during the LA game after ours. You think any one with decision making ability was taking our calls during their own cash cow generating game while they were watching from their box?

How? Once venue is decided reserve 10% for visiting fans. That would've been 2K.

So it sounds like to me... in the future MLS needs to reserve at least 2000 (or more) seats for each of the MLS Cup teams to sell to their season ticket holders/supporters... and if they don't sell those seats within say the first week after the conference finals... they revert back to the "host" team to sell in the last week.

I must have misconstrued some things I read about being totally independent. So my bad.

The MLS CUP sold out while the Western Conference Final was being played Sunday night, except for the reserved allotment required by MLS.

MLS is the real culprit here -- not requiring the host team to hold back more for participating teams.
