where? is anybody having some sort of special. I pre-ordered Arkham City at best buy to get the free Robin character, but if you get it at GameStop you get to play a Joker level. any deals like that for MW3?
i didn't see any special deal at Best Buy... i'm gonna try and do the midnight line again, but apparently that is frowned upon by the wife now that i have a 3 month old...
Meh, I like to have me a few WindsorDews on midnight release night so the deal works for me. Do we know how many levels there are in this time around? I thought I heard there would be more but it wouldn't be as much of a slog the closer you get to prestiging.
Folks, PS3. I press Play Online, and it gives me an error. Server is not available at this time. I go to the website in the error to check the status, it says its online. People on my friend's list are online already.. WHaT ThE F!cK
Do you have the option of joining a friends game on the PS3 XMB? If so, try and join up with someone with an open spot, that might work for ya. I was planning on using one of my prestige tokens for the two hour double xp but it sounds like by downloading the Elite app on the 360 and registering will already do that for ya.
I liked MW2 so much more than black ops. Was it more like one than MW2? I'll probably get this at Christmas unless it's a black ops style game again
What games DO you like and/or have been impressed with? Seems that everything is so mediocre in your opinion.
So anyone play the campaign yet? I'm picking it up at Redbox when I get out of work and am interested in the campaign. I've read a few people saying that it's just as short as MW2 was, if so that's a bit of a disappointment.
Finished the campaign on Hardened in 4 1/2 hours. Wasn't that hard apart from the very last mission but that was just because I did it wrong. It's alright and the story actually ends which surprised me.
Wow, 4 1/2 hours? I've played iPhone games that take longer than that. That's hugely disappointing. I'm a bit of an achievement whore so I'll play it on Veteran so hopefully that'll take a little longer. Thankfully I'm renting it, I'm not into the MP so I was on the fence about buying it considering how short the campaigns were last time.
i only got 2 hours of MP in on it and the first mission of the campaign... What's special about it? the fact that 2 million other people are all playing it right now... that's special to me... Graphics look the same... maps seem pretty cool so far, though I always start off lost... i am not a fan of the menus right now, but that may change... it is borrowing some ideas from Homefront during gameplay... Hopefully this weekend i can really get into it, because i don't see myself having a ton of time to play it this week...
Yup but it's a good 4 1/2 hours, so much better than BF3's single player. If it's anything like other MW games then Veteran will take a few hours more. The new Spec-Ops and Survival mode are much more fun than the standard MP for me now. It might sound odd but after playing so much of BF3, the MP in MW3 seems rather slow, uneventful and sluggish.
I didn't touch single player, and don't plan to, but the multiplayer has been a blast (as always). Still figuring the maps out, but I'm loving the fact that there is such a focus on anti-air in this game. I'm guessing my opinion on how fun the game is will change once I run into an assault juggernaut or assault drone.
I've steered clear of the CoD MP since playing two rounds of MW2. For some reason I just couldn't get into it. I've continued to play the CoD campaigns, but felt they got progressively worse since W@W. I enjoyed BF3's campaign, so maybe I'll like this one even more. I think Activision should just split the CoD MP off from the campaigns and just release it as an MMO type thing with quarterly updates or something similar. They would make even more money that way and then they can actually focus on one good campaign game every two years of so. Now it seems like the campaign is almost an afterthought, since the MP makes them the money.
The move away from killstreak to pointstreak was such a right call. It adds way more balance to the game and actually rewards a player for shooting down enemy aircraft. I got a little too excited last night when I unlocked a carepackage after shooting down an enemy UAV.
I might rent it. With work and Battlefield I do not see where it fits. I rarely touched the last one and I have barely touched PES since Battlefield was released.
Forget what I said about MW3, I hate it and want to burn IW/Sledgehammer games to the ground for not bothering to test the PS3 matchmaking. I'm averaging 20 minutes of trying to get a game (with NAT Open and a 50 Mb connection).
