RT @FauxPelini: I'm staring at a U.S. map and thinking the people at "Northwestern" aren't as smart as everyone says they are.

You know, with my team on a bye this week I was looking forward to a quiet Saturday to simply enjoy other games.

What a disgusting and shameful way to wake up today.

Well, we played like ass but got hosed on that last call. That was a TD, plain and simple. Still, didn't deserve to win it.

What an awful game. Pelini's clock management at the end of the game was atrocious.

I'm not sure Paterno's legacy will be tainted, he did report an incident when told and stands to be a witness for the prosecution. Joe is a man and coach I admire and respect as a Big Ten fan and when he finally steps down he won't be remembered for this garbage but for 40 years of excellence he's had at Penn State. Just like Woody Hayes.

Going back over the last minute and a half of the Michigan Iowa game I see where we got completely ****ed on THREE calls. 2 no pass interference calls and the TD Hemingway caught in the back of the endzone. No wonder Iowa is undefeated at home.

Beck's play calling was worse. Of course the O and D line play was was abysmal, too.

Give Northwestern full credit. They did what they had to do. Glad I went last week instead of yesterday.

Who the hell takes the fullback off the field and lines up in the pistol on 3rd and 1?

I hate that formation more than anything on the face of this earth. So help me, if I ever work under a coach that wants to run that garbage I might kill someone.

Wisconsin's 62 points were the most ever scored against Purdue in a game. That's a stat that I find surprising. Granted, we usually don't have such a surprising lack of defense.

And the Big Ten was well known for not running the score up on teams. At least traditionally speaking.

Wisconsin is the exception to that. Bielema likes to hang 40-60 on every team he plays without exception.

Yep. Wisci is definitely the exception to the general rule. But we're in a new era. So I guess none of that really matters.

I've only seen highlights--we were out of town all weekend, didn't get back early enough last night to watch the DVR highlights yet.

So, I'm delaying the pain. Can't decide if I'm ready to suck it up and FF through the misery.

Save yourself the trouble and the pain. When my date's touchdown balloon popped before the game, I thought "Bad omen." When Rex fumbled on the 4 yard line, I thought "We're screwed." I was right. The only bring spot was the drive that brought us within 3 in the 4th quarter and then they run the ball right down our throats for another touchdown. I wanted to vomit my halftime Runza right back up.

Maybe it was because I didn't wear red. We've won every game I've been to that I wore red. I wore black this week and that happened. :(

The Jerry Sandusky autobiography is called "Touched"...how effed up is that?

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/dp/1582613575/ref=tsm_1_fb_lk"]Amazon.com: Touched: The Jerry Sandusky Story (9781582613574): Jerry Sandusky: Books[/ame]

I just read the indictment....pretty sickening stuff. Hate to say it but there should be a mass purging at PSU. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE needs to either resign or be fired. Today.

That's good advice that I'll probably ignore.

You realize you just created a great euphemism, right? :p

Oh, turnovers--is there ANY Husker moment you can't ******** up?

The few highlights I saw seemed to show that they had a lot of success passing in the middle of the field. You know, against that big gaping soft spot that is our secondary this year.

    God I miss Runza.

On the one hand, I wore my red Bugeaters faux-throwback shirt, even though I was at a soccer field in Virginia Beach. OTOH, it was time to change my password at work this past week, so I did. My last password? "huskers". It's my fault.

You could watch the 60 minute replay on BTN. It goes by so fast you won't have time to dwell on the opportunity lost.

Runza recently entered the KC market and the first location is less than a mile from my office. I ride by it on my bike on the way to work every day. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Now all we need is a Valentino's. :)

As huge of a PSU fan as I am, I am thoroughly embarrassed to be a fan of that program, and I would feel perfectly fine if Paterno were told to resign.

Sandusky is an enormous piece of shit. I read that Grand Jury report, and I need a shower. Everyone involved, from the people who neglected to report it, to the people who neglected to follow through with any type of prosecution, to the bastard graduate assistant who saw the whole thing, then instead of saying something to Sandusky, he turned tail, ran, and waited to report this information to Paterno THE NEXT DAY, deserves punishment and ridicule. I'm so disgusted by this whole thing.

That was the most poor turn of phrase I could come up with. Dear god, what a failure.

    Rep to you, though.

Taylor Martinez proves yet again that he has the maturity of a 3rd grader when you put a microphone in front of him.
