Well strange as it may seem to you lot who watched the game on TV I was at the game and I enjoyed a very entertaining game. People round here have to lighten up a bit.

OK we lost, and that did put a bit of a damper on the day but I would rather watch that then a negative 0-0 stalemate as used to happen when the top sides met.

I think we play better when Roul plays, we brightened up immediately he came on, he brings movement to the team something we sadly lack at times. Passing to static players is not usually productive.

We should/could have won this game easily but we lost and it was down to us. I was much more upset last week when we lost due to incompetent officiating.

A disgraceful statement to make about the captain of the club who (literally on many occasions) bleeds for this club. You should be toughly ashamed of yourself sir, for making such an accusation.

Was at the game as well. I agree with your comment on JT, but I had a good view of the incident. JT didn't exactly slip, as in his foot did not appear to slide. 'Seemed to me he sort of lost his balance. Having seen the replays it does look strange. Does anybody agree it wasn't a classic slip ?

Agree with you that it was a highly entertaining game. Just wish we could have been as loud as the Gooner fans for most of the match.

Anyway we are not Barça and shouldn't try to play like them with a back line way too far up the pitch. Couldn't understand bringing Lukaku on. He was crap tbh. Would have much preferred Anelka, but apparently he had a muscle problem ?

IMO Cech was at fault for 3 of the goals. Very poor attempts to stop those shots. I've mentioned it before here; I think Petr has not played well of late. Yes, he'll make a few decent saves but he's not the dominant force he once was. Someone should order him to take that damn skullcap off !!

Hey we're still evolving ! AVB got it wrong today but I have enough confidence in his ability to believe he'll learn from this and we won't see a repeat. Anyway I personally had a great time at the game...lovely weather, not cold, everybody in a good humour. I'd have liked a win obviously, but it wasn't to be. We need a few more 'el matadors' !

After watching Sturridge play numerous times, I still don't know which is his strongest foot. Could somebody tell me, because everytime he shoots, he looks like he's never been in shooting practice. For the amount of money he makes, hit the ball correctly. We should've been winning 3-0 at halftime. He missed a couple of chances and played some poor balls in the box.

Lukaku looked like he couldn't get out of his own way.

Anelka has been complete rubbish this season, dont think he would have made a difference tbh

What's with JT...there have been at least 5 or more goals in the past season or two that he has been completely at fault for.

If it's on ESPN or ESPN2, it'll be Ian Darke. I don't mind any of Sky's announcers, I guess I'm easy to please. :)

I saw a stat... don't know if it's right or not but it wouldn't surprise me if it was.

We had, (IIRC), 10 shots on target and scored 3 goals. They had 5 shots on target all game and scored 5 goals.

    Sometimes that happens :(

^That would be false considering Cech was forced into a few saves that did not result in goals.

They seem to be writing us off all over the place on these boards. AVB needs to kick some of these players up the backside , 5 goals conceded at the Bridge is pathetic.

Lets take some anger out on Genk and Blackburn. I really hope AVB is given time .

so i recorded this match due to my own early am snow game and to add insult to injury, this game took me a good 4 hours to finish watching due to the power going in and out.

We should of put this game away in the first 15 min. Danny had an off game and is understandable but the final balls need to have pace on them. That is just excusable. Another thing that kills me is how the announcers were praising Bows the entire match. "he's been having a fantastic season".....are you kidding me. Do these people actually watch his movement or lack of. easily responsible for 2 goals. Another issue of mine was the Lukaku sub....wow was that a fcuk up. He is TOOOOO slow to be out wide like that. remarkable that avb thought that would work.

The Terry slip was caused by a horrible pass by malouda....that in no way was Terry's fault. Lack of movement throughout the entire team is what killed us.

AVB is trying to play a higher defensive line but the centre halves are not quick enough to cope with balls being played into space behind them, especially as the full backs are beiing encouraged forward which just creates more space for the opposition to work with.

Holding up trophies at the end of the season is entertainment enough for me.

Yes it used to be for me too, but now..... Once you have seen a couple of trophies held up you start to want quality rather then quantity.

It is one of the reasons I first started supporting Chelsea back in 1964, they did not win a lot but they were quality to watch.

Not only did we play with more flair than other sides, we were also prettier :)

When you go from 2011 to 1960 something to compare our play, I'll roll my eyes.
