Keller with several good saves to keep it to "only" 3-0. Good game from the old man, though he was perhaps the only one with a good game in green tonight.

that third goal was massive, that puts sooooo much pressure on seattle. wow, what can you say, this was RSL's best game since the 4-1 thumping of LA last april. pretty much a complete 90 minutes by the team, great offensive cohesion and solid defensive play despite losing olave after 30 minutes and borchers after 80 minutes. i hope to god those two are seriously hurt, we desperately need them if we are going to have continued success in the playoffs. oh and i hope the league has the balls to suspend alonso for his bullshit shove on sabo, that was about as clear of a red as you will ever see.

Great game tonight. RSL looked great tonight. I am so glad they didn't bunker down after the first or second goal. The chemistry seemed to be there. Good quality possession and some great shots/goals. I hope that Olave and Borchers are going to be available on Wednesday and for the rest of the playoffs. At least Seattle can't blame the loss on the controversial offsides call. If RSL keeps this form up I don't see why we can't win the cup!

Best 90 minutes RSL has had since before CONCACAF. Love having Javi and Beckerman on the field at the same time. Becks is so much more composed than Yordani Alvarez, or anyone else that has been playing for him. I bet all the other playoff teams are shaking in their boots right now. GO RSL!!!

Wow great game! I wish I could have made it because even watching from my computer the fans sounded great!

Great job by RSL closing down the passing lanes. Did anyone else notice that? It seemed like Seattle couldn't string more than 3 passes together.

Let's keep playing this way and finish things off in Seattle! Go RSL!

Happy about the win. But, I hope Olave and Borchers are okay. :/ Will be nervous until we know.

    What a great match!

For all the crap Russell gets, and well deserved, I think he just had his best game of the season. Man, I forgot how much I missed the Javi & Kyle show! Sabo and Espy were beasts and we dominated the mid! SLTID!!!

Agree on Russell Hardtcore, I will say the same thing.

The energy we showed to close down passes and win the ball back was PHENOMENAL.

That was vintage RSL. I'm sure 17,000 people thought "Oh, yeah, that's what we look like when it's clicking".

Sabo was killing headers too - he was completely switched on. I thought Beckerman was also lights out good tonight. Nobody played poorly, except perhaps the final sub who didn't seem to be at game speed.

The one negative is we gave up a lot of corners...but...any fault finding is basically nit-picking after a result like that.

Now we all need to meditate and send healing vibes into the training room.

Wed is a quick turnaround and if we're fortunate enough to hold of the Seattle rally, there's another quick turnaround.

another reason i hate this playoff setup, we have 3 freaking days to get ready for the next game and if we manage to advance we have another 3 games to get ready for an away game. MLS and playoff formats = complete and utter fail.

    Seattle=PUNK ASS BITCHES!

They need to change their shirt sponsor from xbox to FIRST ALERT!

What is it with the North West teams? They go done easier than a...well, you know.

What a cathartic game and props to the RSL fans that skipped the Halloween parties to show up to the playoffs. I was amazed at the number of flags waving before the game and throughout.

15-32's banner was awesome. You might want to outline forza and real in white. You couldn't read it from across the field in sec. 3. The lion is very cool.

The atmosphere was the best since the CCL game. Now if we could just figure out some songs to sing and we just might have something.

Sooooooooooo stoked! Its so far from over but what a start.

    Go RSL!

+1. I probably dump on Russell more than anyone here. Tonight he was a stud. His defending was pretty good. But he was more active than he's been this season. Offensively he created a lot of pressure on Seattle. Nice job, Robbie!

Nobody had a bad game. Great chemistry. Great finishing.

Seattle lucked out by not getting at least a red, and a few yellows for off the ball taking out players.

Great to see RSL playing the way they can play--- when they play like this they are the best team in MLS.

I was at the game and it rocked! Saborio's second goal should be goal of the week/year material. 17,000+ fans to show up to watch RSL have their way with Seattle like a frat boy with a drunk U of U coed which shows how many hardcore soccer fans there are in the state. Utah might be in the PAC-12, but RSL rules!

Now let's hope for another frustrating game on Wednesday night for the Flounders with lots of red cards (Keller in his LAST game and Alonzo for being a dick). I'm sure that would make the Choppers and Vancouver Canucks, oops, Whitecaps very happy since it sounds like they are rooting for RSL.

Really?? My thoughts are there are alot more dirty, classless teams in the league than Seattle. For the most part they are a classy organization that plays good soccer. I'm stoked we beat them but i don't think they are "punk ass bitches"

    Just sayin!

What are the odds that MLS reviews the Alonzo face push and deems it worth of suspension? That was ridiculous.

Yeah... that's the problem with MLS video reviews post-game - there is no consistency.

Since the ref saw it and gave him a yellow, I'd say pretty slim. The league doesn't like to overturn ref decisions. If the ref gives a red, then the disciplinary committee might tack on a couple of extra games, or if the ref doesn't see it, the DC might hand down a suspension (in both cases, though, it appears that the player must be from RSL, Colorado or Chivas).

But if the ref only gives a yellow, any action taken by the DC would seem like second-guessing the ref, which doesn't happen very often at all.

Yep. After the game Garth said that when an official issues a yellow card the assumption is that he saw the entire thing and a caution was warranted. This foul will not even be placed on the DC's agenda (my prediction, not Garth's).
