I decided not to wait and bought my ticket online today...great seats towards center of the field still going for 80 Euros...

I've had hit or miss getting the stade de france site in english - sometimes there's a little UK flag in the corner, sometimes its not there.

i"m most likely getting in friday morning but if anyone's up for meeting up to pre-game in a pub, let me know

Hey guys, so I'm studying in Grenoble. A small city an hour from Lyon. Just found out about the France-Usa game and will be going! Can't wait to see our Yanks!

Are you at all surprised? They got so butthurt when people chanted profanities that they took away AO's ability to display banners and tifo.

They spend more time focusing on censuring the US fanbase rather than helping them.

What makes you think they can get anything so simple as getting tickets right?

Well fun little fact. It appears the FFF isn't going to sell tickets for the upperdeck. Hell, it looks like it will be a longshot if the lower bowl will sell out.

Did anyone think this game was going to sell out, c'mon.? Not sure why people are mad at USSF or AO for not "getting them tickets". I can see that people may have wanted to sit in a dedicated supporters section, but don't understand the dire need to buy tickets the milisecond that the game was announced.

for the French, its a meaningless friendly against inferior opposition...wouldnt expect too much interest

I wasn't expecting the USSf or ao to have tickets up within minutes but Having worked in mls and with the ussf in the past I would have thought they would have dine something to accommodate their fans. I have seats in the midfield section but to be honest would've paid the same price to sit in a corner and sing with other us fans and have folks to grab a post game beer with

I got this email today from US Soccer.

    Dear U.S. Soccer Fan,

Tickets for the U.S. Men’s National Team match vs. France are now available online through the French Football Federation Website. Here are the details for purchasing tickets online.

For U.S. fans, the visiting supporters section is located in the South Stand - and tickets are only 10 euros.

Please follow the steps listed below to purchase tickets in the visiting supporters stand:

    1. Go to this link: http://billetterie.fff.fr/App/Web/LogExt.aspx?Reference=FFF&type=trck&idtrck=3Y41IZWSL42YEDVR. You can change the language to English at the bottom left hand corner.
    2. Select the seats you’d like to purchase and click “View your basket.”
    3. Review your basket and click “Confirm your order.”
    4. If this is your first order on this website, click “Create your personal space.” If you already have an existing account, enter your username and password.
    5. Once you have created your account, follow the prompts to provide payment and complete your order.
    6. Once fans have purchased tickets through the website, they will receive print-at-home e-tickets.

Please let us know if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you in Paris.

    Sincerely,
    U.S. Soccer

So even if I wear a US jersey, its not mandated that we have to sit in the Visitors Section, Correct? I have never known the French Soccer fans as hooligans.

I am in town for business and have decided to stay for the game. Stade de France is in a tough part of town. Not sure there are any desireable spots to hang prior to kickoff.

Yankee Stadium is in a tough part of the town. Good comparison for you.

I'm going to the game and looking to meet up with others for beers before and after the game. Is there a bar that everyone is planning on meeting at? Any AO members going?

Any bars around the Stade? Hell, do they sell beer in the stadium?

Spoke to a coworker who recommended we try to find a spot further south of the RER D line as the area around the stadium is pretty sketchy. He's going to ask around and will come back with some recommendations which Ill post.

We arrive at 0925 from CLT on 10NOV. Staying just south of the Stade de France at the Hotel F1 for $40 EU/per night. Just a place to hold our bags until departure for Slovenia. :D We're right off the blue line, let us know about any night before and pre game gatherings, we'll be mobile.

Ok, I just got my tickets squared away. I will land at Orly @ 4:00 pm and will have to make my way through the city somehow.

I would be down to grab some pints before and after. Anything shaping up as far as a gathering spot?

When I bought my ticket yesterday it looked like the section was 80% full. All US?
