Or RSL against whomever for the final. Not certain Seattle and LA will be at top next year. LA and RSL was last year. It'll be RSL this year. ;)

Ironic, no? It's like karma went full circle. Chivas took out Javier which really got our season from hell started and now they took our first opponent in the playoffs. Recompense?

whatever the bitch canyonvue is saying, just pretend she doesnt exist. in fact i suggest you do what a lot of RSL fans have done, just put her on ignore and save yourselves a ton of misery and angst. pretty much everything she says is garbage.

really wish the return leg wasnt on a wednesday, i would take the train up for that game if it was a weekend game.

sucks about rosales, too many injuries to too many good players this year.

Haha. So this is what CHV contributes to MLS; mediators that make sure every team has its fair dose of injury during the season.

He/she (I seldom believe anyone who says they're female over the internet) actually made a couple "fair" comments this time

canyonvue seems alright to me. *shrug* If UPinSLC is going to yet again stoop to aggro personal attacks over nothing, he's just cementing his own reputation as being worth ignoring. He did the same thing in the Portland stadium threads and made it difficult to have a real discussion in those threads. If you already got your kicks from running canyonvue off your board, then enjoy your "success". Don't bring that B.S. to this thread. I want to read and talk about the big playoff series. Thanks for understanding.

Most likely go with this line-up:

[LINEUP-4-4-2]Fucito, Montero, Neagle, Evans, Alonso, Fernandez, Wahl, Parke, Hurtado, Riley, Keller[/LINEUP-4-4-2]

Maybe Friberg in for Evans depending on who is in favor this week.

that was incredible to watch in person.
as a fan of the other team it sucked, but it was a thing of beauty.
I gave it a standing ovation - mostly to keep myself from freezing my ass of, but still.

That kid scares me. Hopefully we'll decide to mark players standing outside our own 18 this game

Yes, and Neagle repeated that one vs. CLB:

Just curious, is anyone watching the NY vs. DAL game tonight and who do you want to win if so?

I think New York will be a tougher opponent for LA, so I am rooting for New York. I want LA to lose their quarterfinal series so that we get to host the semifinal one-off in front of a packed house. I also think that if that happens, then New York will be a weaker opponent for us than Dallas.

Good, those were my thoughts too. I wish I could be nice and say that Dallas deserves it more based off their play earlier in the season but after all, they're playing a wild card game. That, and we haven't been dominant against them.

I know I'll be watching, but I don't think it matters which is going forward. LA is going to be a real canyonvue :)D) to get past regardless of which team wins tonight.

On a personal level, I'd like to see FCD lose, just because they torpedoed their season just so they could get the #1 WC spot and the "easier" path to the MLS Cup.

Good point. It's not entirely sure if they torpedoed their season but how they perform tonight will hold the answer, making things a little more interesting.

Did you see their last game? They ran out a reserve league squad. If that's not torpedoeing the end of your season, I don't know what is. ;)

That's why I'm talking, one day I was walking down the block
I had my cutoff shorts on right cause it was crazy hot
I walked past these dudes when they passed me
One of 'em felt my booty, he was nasty
I turned around red, somebody was catching the wrath
Then the little one said "Yeah me bitch" and laughed
Since he was with his boys he tried to break fly
Huh I punched him dead in his eye
and said "Who you calling a bitch?"

I too expect Dallas to lose. The football gods frown upon teams that drop games on purpose. They will be punished.

And for my next trick, I'd really like Colorado to lose tomorrow. No reason. I'd just like them to lose.

I just wonder if they will use an orange ball tomorrow night. The snow looks nice.

wrong!! Live with someone long enough and you get to know the real person. Let her post long enough and you will get Up's point.

Cannot help but think to many Seattle fans see this as a given against RSL. I know Seattle has to be the favorite but really I would not finalize my travel plans so fast. Look at what happened tonight in Dallas.

I can guarantee you Sounder fans do not see this as a given against RSL. Especially with Rosales out.

I expect this game to be a snore-fest.

Mostly a middle-third possession game, with only a few chances either way. 0-0 or 1-1 would be great for us. Even down 1-0 coming home, I have no problem with... we've come back so many times this season, it's like second nature now. It's a distinct departure from previous seasons.

Plus, on the home leg we might get Rosales back as a sub.

So, in that vein-- I say start Evans with Alonso at CM. When I complained about Evans, it was for breaking up our counterattacks unnecessarily by passing backward at every opportunity. Now? That's a benefit. Slow it down, make them press numbers forward if they ever want to get the ball back.

I mean... we have Neagle, Fernandez, Montero, and Fucito/Ochoa to run the counter if you see Beckerman or one of the outside backs try to pop up too high and lose it. That is a lot of firepower to throw forward in the blink of an eye.
