I have no doubt that Noyola is NOT #2.

The list was given a big update - Update: WSOC Top 100 Upperclassmen Rankings

I think it's a shame to see Henderson drop from #1. The team isn't playing up to expectations but she is such a dynamic player. This last week alone she broke and/or tied six school records.

As far as positives, great to see Hagen up to #4. Nebraska's Marlborough moves into the Top 20, but I believe she deserves to be even higher.

    Any big misses?

There are not 49 players better than Crystal Dunn.

LOL at the top rated defender being ranked #33 overall. Pretty sure that says it all about the latest self-promotional scheme from our ignorant friends at Top Drawer.

They forgot Chantel Jones and Jorde LaFontaine-Kussmann.

    Agreed

    Yep.

The Jones omission and the fact that 2 other keepers were ranked above Henninger also says a lot about the Top Drawer ranking. And not in a good way.

Please don't lend any credence to TopDrawerSoccer(The National Star of Soccer Gossip) or ESPN!
Their Players Rankings and Team Rankings are ABOMINABLE!

If you're any type of Fan, Coach, Player, Parent, etc. TDS is like reading the funny papers....but please don't pay for it!

Not to mention their Top 100 Freshman list was supposed to be done in August and each month they just keep changing the page to say "Coming in September ... October ..." and now it must be coming in November.

TopDrawerSoccer is clueless. They are more marketing than truth. (Whoever made the comparison to ESPN, that's a good comparison.)

So then, where do you go for more reliable rankings if not TDS or ESPN?

    MaacMan,
The ACC uses the NSCAA rankings and SoccerAmerica Rankings.
Much more accurate than TDS or ESPN!

I would love Big Soccer to come up with their own College rankings! Most posters on Big Soccer are much more knowledgable, accurate and up to date than anyone on TDS/ESPN!:) Good Luck!

I think they meant player rankings instead of college team rankings

Any time you try to compile a list like that, it's borderline impossible. The good thing about it is that it gets people talking about the players (who got left out, who is overrated, underrated, etc.). And for Top Drawer, it gets people talking about and clicking to their site. Of course, there are going to be plenty of inaccuracies, but I give them credit for at least trying. If I were to "trust" a list like that, it would have to come from someone who focuses on the college game almost exclusively and who sees a LOT of games. Sounds like a possible task for All White Kit, because I'm sure Chris doesn't have ANYTHING else going on right now;-)

    MAACMAN:Yes, I meant player rankings.

Then AWK would be your man! Actually, he listed his preseason picks back in August. Much more accurate!
I'm wondering if he is going to update his final picks in December after everything is said and done!

TDS just released their Freshmen Top 100.

10 of the Top 100 freshmen are from UCLA. 10% Bruins...really? This list is just plain silly. TDS is located in LA. They should stick to posting scores and standings without their obvious subjective bias.

    Agreed!

Where is Tori Huster-FSU, Erin McNulty-Penn State, Tahnai Annis-UF!

I'm pretty sure you could go to the ACC, SEC, BIG TEN and the PAC 12 and easily find 11 players that would compete with TDS's Top Eleven....and maybe beat them!

Ha, on the W Top 100 Freshmen list even the ones with pictures is mostly UCLA.

Tough to see freshman that ride the bench at a premier school be placed above those in smaller programs who are actually seeing the field.
