There was a pair of black/white ctr IIs lying at the side of the pitch where I was training tonight. Looked well smart. Looked like a nike sample or something though, even the insole was all black with the ctr pattern. Must belong to someone with Partick Thistle.

What? No? Not the same stitching, tongue, logo-size or studs...I believe Soccerbible is closer than you...

I've gotta admit - that was my first choice!

But, hear me out - the heel counter is massive, and the stitching is all in the wrong places - seems like a lot of trouble to go through to disguise a new boot!

Everything lines up with the old Speciali like GrassRouteOne suggested though.

-You've got the two long stitching lines on the toebox on the original ones while the new ones only have one just below the laces.

-You've got that whole line zig-zag leather where the eyelets are where there isn't any overlapping leather on the new Specialis.

-The inside of the boot looks nothing like the new Specialis as it doesn't have anything resembling pas pods like the new ones do.

Those are definitely the old Specialis.

Thanks man - I noticed a lot of that myself, my only hang-up is that the Umbro diamond is a bit smaller on Pepe's boots.

Stud config is different tho
is it maybe just a test of the new sole plate?
or does it maybe resemble a Geometra sole plate rather than the new speciali one??

Well, maybe Umbro is going to release 2 versions of the Speciali this time too, like it is with the Speciali Elite and the Kanga-touch versions atm.

the outsole looks nikeish to me but it could be those adidas prototypes

On the other hand chicharito switched to the new tiempo IV white color looks like he only likes to wear white boots

Re Chicharito: There's a good interview on SoccerBible where they talk to him about his boot choice. From what he said in that I can't see him ever ditching the white choice! It's here if you wanted to check it out... SoccerBible Meets Chicharito

Yeah, they're Nike. However they are Laser's. You can see instep. Better picture on SoccerReviews boot spot.

Nah, I think Soccer Reviews have got this one wrong. If you room that image you'll see that there's a 'S' like stripe through the middle of the tick on his left boot:

And the pass-pad on the instep of his right boot says to me these are the Maestri I

I did originally think that they were CTRs, especially cos of the studs. But I still think I can see the shot pads or whatever of Laser IVs.
