What's with the slow rolling passes? I think they're called hospital balls in the PL.....Altidore is a menace for that.
wow look what happens every time we get forward on the wing-- whole team drifts away into the center, waiting for a cross, like that's our only option. WE'RE the ones packing the box; every once in a while we get lucky with that, thanks demps. would love to see us have some numbers AROUND the ball, try to get to the endline, have some possession IN the box, etc.
That's they're job, just like UEFA refs do. If MLS refs did not more, our players wouldn't look so stupid getting cards for running their mouths. I'm thinking we'd be a lot better off if Edu/Beckerman just didn't pull on the jersey anymore.
You know, for as much as we (and I) have been bagging on Orozco, he's hardly put a foot wrong, just giving a shooter a little too much space once early on, and otherwise playing pretty well. Chandler's kept someone onside twice, which is disturbing. But he's been excellent in attack. In particular, the Chandler/Shea combination is looking really good. Shea's been great all game. Jozy's been good as well. Danny Williams is getting himself into some good positions but isn't being rewarded with the ball enough, IMO. Clint I think was relative crap until his excellent goal, and has played very well since.
I'll take all this performance, warts and all. At this point Klinsi and us fans need a win more than anything else.
Chandler is on Fire. His cutting balls to Shea have all made Shea face the goal, but Shea's crossing has been lackluster. Shea is having his worst game of the Klinsmann era but I'd like to see what he can do in the second half. Altidore has a first touch I've never seen before! He is playing like a new player entirely, and we have the Dutch to thank for that. Williams has shown great skill on the ball. Good game from him. Orozco Fiscal needs to go. GOOCH! Edu and Beckerman look mediocre. I'd rather see Bradley, who knows how to spring the counter attack and is competent going forward.
I agree, except the last 2 players I can think of with CCAF refs have been Dolo' and Jozy...thus blaming MLS here seems kinda random.
Which is pretty par for all of our guys named Clint...you can get 89 minutes of absolute drek surrounding 60 seconds of sheer brilliance...
That's Dempsey, though. Plays great and misses chances, but when he's anonymous for a while he's extremely likely to pull a goal out of thin air.
Said poster has a thing against Shea and for "latin" players. Shea (and Chandler)have created all the offense for the US...yea Shea has had some poor passes...but so has the whole team. For Shea I put it on him still having an unpolished game and the weather is defiantly effecting some of the players.
