+1. I was there and it was like he was at practice or something. Calm as a cucumber. Ozzie rocks!!!

I didn't realize how tense the game was making me until Montero scored. The tears just started pouring out! Everyone around us was going bananas! Definitely the most intense experience I have ever had at a match. Damn, I'm having flashbacks just writing about it.

Yeah.. Watch it. Our defense completely owned their offense and our offense was shredding their defense up until Johnson, then he did his impression of a stone wall.. Oduro, Pappa, and Nyarko were completely non-factors in this game. Heck, Nyarko should have been sent off for persistent fouling. Prus gave him two or three "last warnngs" and Nyarko continued to hack down Sounders at every opportunity.

Don't get me wrong, the game was a nail biter, but that is only because the Sounders couldn't get the ball past Johnson. That kid is good.. He has to start getting national team callups soon.

Johnson was the man of the match. He single-handedly kept Chicago from being destroyed. That was some seriously quality keeping. Chicago's back line may have been highly porous but the keeper was solid. Props to Johnson, losing this match reflects nothing negative on him.

My ass hurt after Montero scored. I didn't realize I was clenching for 75 minutes.

I haven't seen a replay of Alonso's goal, but I hope it's as majestic as it was watching it live coming straight at you in the south end. Might just be my favorite Sounders goal of all time.

it was majestic and unlike anything he did before, he walked it through a number of defender and poised himself, then struck.

That's why the only way for the SoundersFC to score is to disable him.
After he blocked JP31's header, all of their defenders are useless against FM17.
After he was fooled by OA6's fake, it became too easy to score.

I didn't see what happened between Anibaba and FM17.
All I saw was OA6 went rushing to them then it became escalated.

He hit Fredy in the face. Then Ozzie came over and shoved someone, and then everyone on the field started to shove. I believe Sigi ran over and shoved someone himself.

Just wanted to offer congratulations to the club and fans for the three-peat AND the great crowd at the final.

    Well done on both counts.

vanderdecken I think i'm gonna have to start referring to you as TK-421 :)

I love the Alonso goal. Totally unnecessary for the win yet everyone is going to remember it for years to come.

    Congrats on the win.

Sigi seemed to have a good game plan, control the possession, put pressure (mostly on counter attack) and keep Oduro in check...and it worked well.

Congrats again, the Sounders deserved the win.

Sheesh - Fucito could've had a hat trick except for the amazing goal keeper and some sturdy posts. I was SOOO nervous all match until Fredy scored. I was up in the stands and could barely cheer. It was such a release when he scored I was jumping up and down and just going ape-s%*&.
