http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/10/02/2434261/local-fans-get-treat-with-us-honduras.html no ticket sales numbers...
Plan on going to Mckeys Thursday, training session Friday and the game Saturday... Pretty stoked not gonna lie. Should be a great weekend!
I don't have any official numbers but I will guess there would be anywhere between 20k-30k at the stadium. (Mostly Hondureños so be prepared)
A little bit disappointing but Latin American fans are notorious for having huge walk up crowds. I may have to lower my prediction to 15-20 K.
not to be mean or anything but why would Miami or Florida deserve an MLS team, there are no US supporters, in any big numbers, they will always cheer the other team
You do realize that the game occurs in the middle of Yom Kippur, the most important day on the Jewish Calendar where all Jews have to fast, thus Jews are at temple and not at the Stadium. Not the only reason why attendance will be low, but it makes a huge difference as we had bought 40 tickets and USSF refunded us the money after we told them about the conflict
Banners banned for Miami and RBA games again, due to "inappropriate fan language at the Home Depot Center"
In most cases I would say US soccer shouldn't be pissing off the {very} few US supporters that will be at these games but the "You suck ass****" chant is unbelievably pathetic and lame so I don't mind it. I'd say most US soccer fans that I've met are quite clever and witty...please, someone, anyone, come up with another post goal kick "chant"
I'm still not seeing the correlation between clean banners and inappropriate chants. It's clear that the banners are not the problem since they were banned for the HDC game.
They are prohibiting the banners as a way to get your attention about an issue they obviously have with YSA. They can't stop anybody from saying anything, but they can stop you from putting up banners and my guess is they'll keep doing it until this stupid chant is gone.
all the more reason to keep chanting you suck a$$hole. cant say im in favor of the USSF dictating what we can and cant say.
A banner ban is not going to stop that chant. Or any other chant that fifa or the ussf doesn't like. Simply the wrong approach..
However, the ban on banners for the upcoming matches is not for YSA. It wasn't said in LA, by all accounts. It was for "inappropriate language" that wasn't specified.
The goal is to make USMNT matches more friendly for families . . . to create an atmosphere that a man might want to take his wife and kids to. Attendance will probably continue to drop in lesser matches/venues until this is accomplished.
