I love this team, I live in KC now. I love to support the team with branded stuff. Does anyone know why there is very little merchandise for FCD? There is more for other teams and way more for every other sport. Our local High School has more merchandise for sale. Is it really the poor attendance? Some weird contact with adidas restraining it?

Secondly i love our logo, but I hate hoops, I've come to terms with them, I own many versions of kit, but I wish so bad we would have a solid away Jersey at the very least. Any chance this ever happens or are we hoops home, hoops away for the rest of existence?

When it comes to merchandise almost every team has the same amount of it available. If you don't like the hoops Jersey buy a retro Burn one. I'm not an FC Frisco fan but eh...when it comes to soccer love your colors no matter the team. Try the MLS website for merchandise or the FC Dallas site.

Don't go to a Sporting KC game and look at their merchandise selection. It will only piss you off further.

Merch has always really been a problem for Dallas. I'm just glad they have a small store at least that you can go to on non match days.

First what are these hoops you refer to the Mavericks? ;) . Secondly anyone reading this is not the problem but lower attendances than other teams probably means less merchandise sold and less items offered. Until FCD has 18 -20K at games and a higher visibility and awareness around the ol' Metroplex be glad it's not the first few years when the was basically nothing at all.

There was the original t-shirt they handed out at the re-branding announcement that I still have. Then we basically had to wait until Adidas threw together our kits at the last minute in '05.

When I launched the "Keep Ruiz In Hoops" campaign, I decided to use white shirts with just the fronts printed in red hoops, and the slogan reversed inside the hoops. The back was the background white with the FCD logo and the American Cancer Society emblem imprinted.

If I had chosen red shirts and printed the front hoops white, the change to a solid red back may have come sooner (seriously, John Alper, Greg Elliot and myself, all looked at it and gave the classic 'hmmm...' look at the same time).

If we're going to have hoops (and the nickname Hoops and the idiotic mascot Hooper), then I think we should own it and have the hoops go all the way around the front and back for the whole length of the jersey. Otherwise they aren't hoops, they are semi-circles. Aesthetically hoops isn't exactly my favorite, but everybody knows for sure who they are watching when FCD is on tv.
