    Haha dear god

At least they'll be able to increase it a bit next season. We'll have to cut ours back and sell Van Persie just for the sake of it.

Don't worry though no one will be fired. At Arsenal all you have to do is have a sustainable model.

Shame, good 1st half but vd Vaart scored, better start in the 2nd half and goal by Ramsey, then Arsenal disappeared, only on 1 think I got reason, I typed "Adebayor" wont score han he dont scored but I'm afraid Wenger must now do a great job to make the team growing up, shame 4 Sagna too, the injury seemed very bad, do u got news about him?
    anyway lets go Gunners!

I'm not stupid you know. If you read other posts I have made you will see that I think Usmanov is the only one with enough money and the willingness to invest the amount of money we need to invest to stop the rot. There is nothing Kroenke has done or said that makes me think the same about him as I do about Usmanov. Kroenke has only done or said things that makes me think we will rot under him. I really really hope that I an proven wrong because it doesn't look like Usmanov will replace Kroenke anytime soon.

I'm not condoning the chants but what about the vile things the Spurs fans were chanting about Wenger.

Once again Arsenal are a hate figure and the other club get away with it.

Journalists in this country are scum.

Who needs Usmanov when the club is sitting on 160 million pounds?

I agree, it wasn't a bad performance, and we didn't murdered as most here were saying in the build-up. The only away game in whic we played poorly was United.

Didn't Spurs get schooled last season for racist chants to Adebayor when he was at Real Madrid?

here's a comparison that hurts even more....
    arsenal wage bill: £124m
    bayern munich wage bill: £102m

yet bayern can hold on to these players: lahm, schweinsteiger, ribery, robben, neuer, muller, olic, gomez

RVP was basically ineffective yesterday because he is a player that thrives on direct play through the middle.

I still don't know why we CONSTANTLY throw it out to the wing and cross it in with RVP playing as the sole forward. How many header goals has RVP scored? That's not his game. With Chamakh (Bendtner last season too) then I understand it.

I agree that Ramsey had a pretty bad game from the perspective of the armchair managers here. I think the hate on him is a quite excessive though. I actually think he's one of our more "creative" midfielders out there. He's definitely a better dribbler than Arteta/Song. I see him quite often with nice flicks and one-twos. Its just the final ball that sucks usually (especially yesterday.) Also, Ramsey is the *ONLY* player I see right now going for those killer through balls. He's hit Walcott with them a couple times this season. I don't see Arteta or Song making them (minus Song's Ox Cart assist vs Olympiakos)

Wilshere though is definitely our best and most creative midfield outlet and we're suffering as a result of him being out.

I also agree with people asking WTH is going on with Park ? I'll also add WTH is going on with Ryo Miyaichi ? They NEVER play but I'd rate both of them higher than Yossi or Rosicky right now. Ugh. So frustrating.

we pay mediocre players top dollar. We should pay our top players the going rates, and the not so good ones a lower rate. If, say, Ramsey or Oxlade-Chamberlain become world class, then pay them according to the highest tier of payment. I would say as of now, only van Persie, Sagna, Chesney, and Vermaelen warrant that pay rate.

It's pretty crazy that for 4-5 years AW kept buying players that played the role Ramsey is under-performing in, and would shift them out to the wings, and now that he needs one Ramsey is his only option. With that said, I feel for the kid, he is trying his best, and his stats don't suggest he is playing as bad as everyone says, but he just isn't getting it done at the moment.

In other news, I can't wait until Wenger slots Djourou in at RB. TF

bayern munich is to the bundesliga what man united is to england. that's the difference in bayern's ability to keep and retain players.

arsenal is comparable to werder bremen...

Yeah but this doesn't change the fact that AFC has the 4th highest wage bill in England, one that is currently much higher than that of Spurs, who currently have better players than we do. That is the most relevant comparison right now.

You should probably watch the games a little closer. Song has made the cutting pass quite a few times, even against Spurs. RVP just didn't control it well or lost it on the dribble. Arteta has also been making those passes as much if not more then Ramsey. The game against Dortmund comes to mind. My stick with the midfield right now is movement. No clear outlets and Ramsey's dribbling ability you speak of only showed him going backwards in the first half at least.

This is the first game I'd say Gervinho was lazy or at least didn't put in as much work as usual.

Really? Really? Really? They have better players than us? They only have three players I might even consider joining the team(VDV, Bales, and Parker), but a better team? *facepalm*

so it's got nothing to do with bayern actually being worth less than arsenal, attempting to keep a sustainable model and yet still be able to spend over £20m or more on each of 4 players to stay at the top over the same timeframe that arsenal have slowly sank from a top team to a mediocre team spending mediocre money.

At the very least I would take VDV, Bale, Parker, Modric, Sandro, Defoe, Adebayor.

VDV - better than all are current attacking options bar RVP or Wilshere

Bale - better than any of our wide players

Parker - better than Ramsey or Arteta

Modric - would be best mf, with the possible exception of Wilshere, but thats a close call

Sandro - about even with Song, would definitely improve our squad.

Defore - better than all our strikers bar RVP

    Adebayor - see above

Players like Kranjcar, Friedel, Gallas, and Assou-Ekotto would all be good squad players too.
