DCU vs Cbus just an out-of-control game. both teams sprinting and counterattacking. No real play building.
There was a 5 minute stretch where DCU had about 3 calls against them and whined about it, held the ball, and threw it back for a restart far away from where it should have been sent.
they seem to have a nice/decent crowd for this one too, but so far there's been nothing to bring any of them back. been a miserable game for the most part up to this point.
There was a little toss by Q after he was called for a questionable handling, but it went to a player. Complain about that last toss after another questionable call against Quaranta(he held his position and didn't make contact on that turn), but that early stuff was trivial. The delays were Toledo uncertain of what the calls were. They need to at least keep that camera shot down in Vancouver so we can't see the seats above.
and for the second time in the span of a week, the Southsiders are getting outsung in their own house.
DeRo goes down at the slightest of touches, gets a FK, and Cbus sucks it up marking in the box leading to the DCU goal. Wow. DCU just blows a great opportunity at goal. What a crazy game.
Due to the playoff race, I'd really rather watch the DC - Columbus game, but I really cannot stand the stretched picture. It's really tough to watch.
I'm I the only one who is underwhelmed by the secondary roof at BC Place? Doesn't look anything like what I saw in the models/illustrations.
Southsiders just aren't that organized from what I've seen. Lots of people in their section watching the game and not joining in on the singing/chanting.
It's a Timbers broadcast so maybe they miked the TA more than the Southsiders? He's Haitian so could this be the French pronounciation?
Why? The only names our announcers even attempt to pronounce correctly outside of English ones, are the Spanish ones. They still continue to pronouce Julio Cesar's name (a Brazilian) as "who-lee-oh", instead of (roughly) "jew-lee-oo". It irks the hell out of me, but what can a brotha do?
And as I am speaking about french, Monsieur "Ass-li" totally screws up a great opportunity in the box.
