Get used to it. People here will be flipping out until he's officially cap tied, which is a ways away. Just sit back and enjoy.
I meant in terms of a follow up beyond the realm of 140 character tweets with little exposition. Spoke to @TonySanneh (ex-Nürnberg) about Chandler: "Timmy said he wants to play for the US, but it would be hard to turn down Germany." No, "when did you speak with him? what was the nature of the conversation? Were you certain that Low was in Nurnberg to see Chandler? How did you know this? Do you mind if I tweet this and start a firestorm?" @TonySanneh Tony Sanneh @SoccerByIves Thank you, And I repeat rumor. Lowe was in Nurnberg and those were rumors. this twitter stuff is dangerous. 14 Sep via web Just strikes me as a lot of irresponsible rumor mongering and poor journalism [lack thereof]. Thumbs down.
... and Big Soccer to debate all the stuff that falls somewhere between the cracks of those neat categories
Posted this on USA Men, but Timmy gave an interview to Jeff Carlisle reiterating HE'S NOT GOING ANYWHERE! http://espn.go.com/sports/soccer/ne...er-pledges-allegiance-us-soccer-jeff-carlisle Let's stop the freak out - poor guy sounds tired. (Welcome to the rumor mill buddy - that's what happens when you're talented).
here is a video interview with Klinsmann talking about Chandler. https://secure-clubtv.tvnext.tv/fcn/player/list/latest/2010540/1 I am not translating, but here are some points Klinsmann makes about Timmy: - he can play in different positions: RB, LV and DM - it is wonderful for the US that he was trained in Nürnberg (and in Germany generally) because he already knows what he is doing and doesn't have to have things explained to him. For example, he played RB in one game and then LB in the next game and had know problems adjusting. - he is hungry and is looking for more/wants to get better and work his way up in the US team. - and he also wants establish a bigger connection to America, which the team is allowing him to do. - "We are very happy to have him."
That's good to hear, earlier reports made it seem like the team/coach wanted him to switch to Germany.
WTF is this shit? Notwithstanding the fact that we spend about 3 years on the holocaust in school, visited concentration camps and talked to survivors why even write such BS in an article dealing about soccer? Just because there's a connection to Germany?
