    Beezer with the start.

Last match Puebla played 4 or 5 in the back. Let's see if we see a repeat of Beezer hanging back on defense more.

Beez playing as a natural left winger this match.

If Puebla ever learn to play as a team, they have enough talent to challenge for first.

Beasley draws a penalty and a red card in the 57th minute. Luis Garcia converts to give Puebla a 2-1 lead.

announcer says: what high quality is beasley.

he has become a very good professional. He conserves energy then when it's time to act, he puts it into a different gear and changes the match.

Just as I write that, Beasley gets another red card as beasley gets separation and chivas player takes him out from behind.

Announcer just calls Beasley MOTM. Other announcer agrees. I have to say, I am impressed with this match. It could easily be a serie A match.

    3-1.

Announcer says first win in 16 years for Puebla in Guadelajara.

Puebla plays a lot like Bradley's US team.

There are more than a couple similarities.

    Well done.

    4-1

Puebla destroying Chivas. They are so deep in their heads at this point. They should have had a 3rd player sent off.

Great game from Beasley. He still has some speed and higher gears than most on either team, he just uses it more sparingly.

The ref should have sent a third player off for an obvious punch thrown at a Puebla player but, the announcers said he didn't have the guts after throwing two
(both due to Beasley) out earlier.

Sam, I am not a tactician, What are the similarities between Puebla and Bradley's
    teams? Just curious.

Did the Mexicans confuse DMB with Cobi Jones? because it sounds like he was a punching bag!! I'm loving the success he's having in MX. I had a good feeling when he signed.

The best Yank abroad game I have seen in a while; he was awsome.

I missed the match. What position was he playing? Last time I saw him Puebla was alternating between 4 in the back with Beasley at left back and the 3 in the back with Beasley moving up to midfield. He's light years better at LB than Castillo. Given his form and the US problems at LB I'm surprised he hasn't been called up. He's only Landon's age, right?

He was playing as a traditional winger. He was not rotating as LB. This allowed him to attack more.

Beaz is now a veteran. He picks his spots, but he is not rushing play much any more. He was voted motm.

I think he is probably mature enough now to play left back, but he is far more valuable in the midfield in my opinion. He is not a defender.

Maybe after another debilitating injury, he will be.

He's been played at LB in past, to inconclusive effect, I believe. And he has only recently gotten club games at all, forget regular effective minutes. He keeps this up I would expect he gets a gander.

    i agree.

i saw beas make a world class defender look foolish when he was playing at psv. if he can regain that confidence and stay healthy he could be lethal for us.

thinking that he'll get a callup is a reasonable assumption based on the quality of players klinsi has been calling from the mexican league.

we have a lot of midfieldiers but not many true wingers. beas fits the bill.

let's keep our fingers crossed for good health for him.

Mexican league is a great place for him. He's not as likely to be broken into pieces by a marauding CB. His athleticism is above average for the league, and he will be able to concentrate on keeping his technical skills at the highest level possible.

True wingers can cross the ball.
Beasley strengths lie somewhere else. Having said that, I think hes a better player than Rodgers and I'm glad to see him regan some form.

    Run DMB!:)

In the match I saw with him at LB a few weeks ago he was quite good, breaking up lots of attacks. So much, so I was kind of shocked. granted, it was the only match I saw.

He's played 808 minutes in all 9 matches so far this season, second on the squad only to Roberto Carlos Juarez (by two minutes).

I'd be surprised, in fact, pretty disappointed, if he didn't get called at this point.

i know it's not saying much but...

i think he can cross as good as rogers, and is better than him in so many other areas. no?

Does no one remember the Eddie Lewis experiment?

you can cage the lion up and train him as much as you want but sooner or later, Sigfried's face is getting torn apart.

He is an attacking midfield player with a penchant for breaking-up plays at the midfield mark with his quickness, breaking fast down the wing and delivering the early pinpoint cross.

he is also our best player (landon included) at making the early deep run onto the ball for the 1 v. 1 against the GK.

Why waste those qualities on hoping to chain him to the left back spot? Lichaj and/or Dolo should play it. Hell, we have a ton of young, very athletic RB's, why not convert them and have them play defense on the left. You can then overload that side of the field and leave Donovan and Chandler space to run on the right and cross into a box filled with tall Americans.

EDIT: Conversation continued in Yank Abroad thread before Freidel's accent tells me I am violating the sanctity of his thread discipline.
