I'm tired of people saying we need Cherundolo and Bocanegra they are going to be old a** hell by 2014 if we start both of them it will De Ja Vu of the Ghana game all over again we will get burned by fast strikers, its time to replace Cherundolo with Chandler replace Bocanegra with Gonzalez and start either Fabian Johnson or Eric Lichaj at LB I prefer Johnson over Lichaj right now because he is a regular starter with his club while Lichaj wasn't even on the bench before he injured his hip.

I'm tired of people saying that they'd like to sit superior players for inferior players who havent even earned a spot on the 18.

Sit Boca and/or Cherundolo? Yeah...there's an 8-year old somewhere who needs those minutes to develop.

Boca is not actually playing that well for his club..but he is experienced.

Age will get him though. It always wins. I think that after qualification we will see the younger guys get shots at CB.

A wee bit premature on removing dolo. One of our top and consistent players. If Chandler proves to be a better option as a starter come 2014 then good to have one as dolo as a backup. However he's been class for the US.

U could make an argument on boca but I'm not certain gonzo is an upgrade at this point

I wouldn't mind sitting Boca at least one game to take a look at how Gooch is doing, sounds like he has been doing pretty good with Sporting so far. Maybe one the games we could try Gooch with one of the new guys like John or Gonzalez.

Beasley deserves a call up. I wouldnt mind a veteran like him comming off the bench. Especially a guy who can mentor the younger wingers. Like it or not Beasley has the most impressive resume out of all our midfidlers. If he's fit and in form bring him in! Its not like he's 33 or 34 either

Certainly, Jonathan Bornstein played poorly against Mexico in the Gold Cup final.
He represented the United States well the the '10 World cup in important matches vs Algeria and Ghana.

Here he scores a the goal in extra time to knock Costa Rica out of the World Cup (ultimately) and to win the hex for the USA

Although, I am not ready to see him again, I think he is a bit too popular a whipping boy here on Big Soccer . . .

...which is to continue to play Boca and Cherundolo because they are so far superior than the alternatives that its hilarious to suggest otherwise.

That's why Klinsmann will continue to experiment he did say nobody has a secure spot they all have to earn it.

It is safe to say that Boca and Dolo has earned their spot with their play under JK.

If I had to pick a 22-man roster for Honduras/Ecuador, here would be my list as of right now:

    GK: Hartman, Reis
DF: Chandler, Cherundolo, Onyewu, Gonzalez, John, Pearce, Whitbread
MF: Feilhaber, Diskerud, Torres, Beckerman, Shea, Bedoya, Beasley, Edu
FW: Altidore, Starikov, Bunbury, Donovan, Findley

    Hartman, Reis, not Guzan?
Pearce? Inferior MLS product. Whitbread? Not playing, injured?

Indeed. Not to mention the fact that he tended to draw a crowd in the box, freeing up Bocanegra, who is more accurate finisher.
