So which excuse is it? Tired? Long-road trip? Chemistry? Fans being too negative?

    Just so I know.

Timber Army singing "I can't help myself falling in love with you."

    Finally something to enjoy.

One of the announcers mentioned that unlike Gilette where they water the field down a couple of hours before the pre-game practice, at Jen Wen they do it just before practice, which is why they might be having trouble with how the ball was bouncing. That's one I hadn't heard before.

    Awesome.

We're three goals worse than an expansion team.

    Oh a new one! YAY!

    3-0 final.

I have no problem being a homer, but I still have no idea how you came up with this.
So I fessed up after the Philly game about the Revs scoring 3 goals ...

    Your turn.

    Oh no....we suck again...:(

Does watering the field make them far faster (as a team) than us? They simply ran us off the field

just finished watching the game, Revs had a few decent chances and could not convert. Once again the back 4 was the week point for this team. How did Chabala get loose when our so called best defender and the person that should have picked him up was near the PK spot? After the Philly game I mentioned how our CB's can't defend crosses. Happened again today. Cooper burned them in the middle. I thought Zerka was a nonfactor. Zak never got into the play. I did like what little we saw of Guy but he needs to settle down a bit, some of his crosses reminded me of Nyassi

this sinking "scow" noses its way to the bottom. Oh Lord if there was only relegation, the Captain of this row boat would at least be under pressure to upgrade the product top to bottom.

The crazy thing about this game was that I thought the Revs actually passed the ball and retained possession a lot better than in their win against Dallas. The results were piss-poor and we were NOT the dominant team, but we passed better.

That said, I can NOT see how the ownership can look at this team an NOT see there is a serious need for change at the management/FO level. We are losing regularly to expansion teams and just can't compete.

One side note - I saw just few minutes of a commentary on the Bellicheck movie on Comcast sports and it seems that the view of Jonathan Kraft is not very positive from the Patriots perspective either......

Just for clarification, more water means better traction for the players and the ball sits better [not like the erroneous comment from a certain Fox Soccer commentator that is skips more]. Faster? You can't coach speed IMO.

They would pay attention, but you see there's a Pats game tomorrow and have to get ready for that. Get the right shirt, tie, etc.

Of course, asking the ownership to give a smidgeon of interest to the Revs is unfair for us to do, so go figure.

It's football season, Mr. Kraft's accountants will handle all Tax Writeoff decisions until after the Patriots' season ends.

How about this? We were beaten by a better team playing in front of an electrifying home crowd.

Chara was a pit bull out there. There's a lot of good, affordable players coming out of Colombia these days. But for some reason the Revo can't seem to tap into that market.

Great stuff. On the passing, I was thinking the same thing as you. Losing 3-0 sucks, but at least there's something to work with out there. The game itself was downright watchable as long as you could look past the score.

And the big picture has never been clearer - the Revs have fallen to the bottom of the pile along with Toronto. The organization and roster need a comprehensive overhaul.

Not sure SN really likes South American "flair type" players much.

Nothing here will improve until SN is sent packing and we get a coach that can run the show himself. A coach such as Arena could turn this franchise into a winner. Didnt like him as a Nat coach but you cannot argue about what he did in DC (and what happened after he left) and what he's done in LA. Makes me sick to see the crowd and the atmosphere Portland gets and what we get. We have a poor team in an empty NFL stadium with an owner that doesnt care and a coach that must go. All adds up to bad. We could have what Portland has if they'd pull their collective heads out and let someone run this franchise correctly

If we hired Arena, I would give up completely on the Revs. I hate the way LA play. Talk about unattractive soccer. Bunker and counter Bruce.

Yeah, I heard he was there in the off-season to look at some players. He was on the highway and got lost. He kept looking for the signs for Cali or Bogota, but he kept seeing signs for this town called "Salida."

"Ah doan wanno sayn a pleyurr froom a crrrap cloob lake 'FC Salida' Ah nevvur hord a them."

So he came home and signed the two French guys instead.

    Mass.
Watching the replay on CSN right now and its apparent that Shalries' game has dropped off considerably and he seems a step behind defensively. Perhaps its because he doesn't have a reliable holding partner with him ala Ginger to take some of the responsibilities. It seems Shalrie operates best in a 5 man midfield and the Revs don't have the personnel for that. Time to move on from Shalrie, maybe use a young DP spot on a Dmid that can cover more ground effectively.
