the red ones are the vapor II's which are the newer model of the vapor supposedly the do not give you blisters like the original vapors. The black and red ones are simply the original vapors as a sg cleat

Hey has anyone ordered the Nike Vapor Chromes from eastbay.com? Can you tell me what is included, ie the original Nike box, the futuristic looking bag, any documents or Official Nike stuff as well? And most importantly is it Made in Italy (the ones the pros wear)? It's listed for 89.99 so I'm wondering if there is some catch to this, since on eBay people sell it for around 130 (and many bid on it too).

A buddy of mine ordered them and they arrived in the original box, with the silver nike soccer bag inside the box. Vapor II's are out, so the price has dropped on the old Vapors, that's why they're listed for that price, but I recommend some new Total 90's instead, WAY better shoe and will definetly last longer than the Vapors

Re: in yor opinion! Are Vapors great cleats??

I have had two pairs of Vapors I first had the Orange Vapors and now I am wearing the Red Vapors. I have never gotten any blisters in them and I don't know why people are always complaining about blisters. I think vapors are the best cleats ever made. Lightweight and has a good touch. Maybe not the most padding but good players don't let stuff like that get to him. Play the game and have fun.

I'm thinking about buying some nike vapors but the stores in my area dont carry nike or dont have the vapors. there is a store in Kitchener Ont. by my grandparents, who carry the vapors, and they said they would buy them for me if i gave them the size i need. i have never worn a pair of nike shoes or cleats in my life, and i'm not familliar with the sizes. I take a size 10 1/2 - 11 adidas cleat. Are nikes sizes smaller or larger in size? I would go to my gp's and try them on in the store, but unfortenatly they live 6 hours away.

Did you play on the gravel or other some kind of hard ground with those Vapors?

    No...

No these are soft-ground vapors... So I only used them for that surface. As you can see the mud sticks on the sole so the studs definetly went all the way into the ground.

I owned a pair of Merc. Vapors FG. Absolutely beautiful, no problems at all until abotu 2 weeks later. The sole separated from the boot so I sent them back. I asked for a replacement of Chrome SGs, but someone bought my size before they received the first shoe. So now I'm out of a good boot and I feel naked. Which should I buy now??????? Please help. (soft ground) Also what will happen if u play in SGs on firm ground? Thanks

If you wear sgs, you'll get a lot of extra stud pressure, plus very little traction depending on the surface. I've had to a few times for lack of fgs, and it doesn't feel good at all. If the grass is extra long you could be alright, but any dirt at all will kill you feet and you'll just slide. As for replacements, you'll be hard pressed to find something that light. Try talarias, they're cheaper and have a little more material in them.
