Mine is only 23 surprisingly, soon to be 24 for Belgium. I also found a good text based resource here:

    http://www.rsssf.com/tablesu/usa-intres.html

It's a little outdated. There are no updated entries for 2011. Wow, I remember the days of rec.sport.soccer! Gee I'm old...

No seriously, this is me. 5 caps at 31. I'm in law school, so hopefully I'll be able to afford a few more games a year soon. :)

Finally, finally, finally I have run into someone who has seen both players in action! Tell me please, iyho, who the better player was: Andy Staden or Archie Stark? I have a long standing 25 cents bet with my best friend, Mark, that you can help settle!

I'm in the 20's, I would have to check to get the exact number. Have slowed down since marriage and children 6 years ago. Gladly slowed down, but still miss the travel on US soil a bit. Hopefully soon, I can travel with my kids to see the games and wife of course. As my kids get older I hope to add a few more. Haven't missed a US game in New England, except for birth of my first son(2 days after) in almost 20 years. I saw the game the day before his birth but not 2 days after. What is sad is that I have never seen the US play in a World Cup game or on foreign soil. That will be my goal in the next 20 years.

I’ve been to 67 USMNT games; my wife has been to 21 and our 3-year-old son has now been to 3! I’ve slowed down in the last few years since our son was born, but as he’s getting older, hopefully we’ll pick back up a bit.

I have to sit down & count again. Last time I checked it was 35 or something, thanks to living in NYC & doing this for 12 plus years. Most of those were at Foxboro & RFK, with some great (Oct. 7, 2001) & bad (9/1/2001) times, but the two I'm most proud of are both Mexico City.

Traveling in Germany was the most fun (will never forget the look on Stefan Effenberg's face after the USA- Czech game where I gave him shit for losing to the MetroStars in a meaningless friendly), the U-20s in Canada were a blast (Brazil game especially), games in South Africa the farthest away (and, was honored to have the baby in my luggage for that whole trip, sneaking it into stadiums was hilarious), but, nothing compares to riding a police riot van out of Azteca in 2009, chanting in Spanish at Mexico fans (Would have been cooler if CD9's goal had stood up, but, alas...).

I go on business trips to Mexico about once a year, and always pull out the shots from Azteca in '09 on my iPhone to show the locals what rooting for the EEuu is like for a gringo surrounded by 100,000 Roger Clemens wannabes toting bottles of <water>. They slap their foreheads in amazement, and wonder aloud how we're all still alive.

So, if you are out there reading these posts and going "wow...cool" just make sure that if only get 1 cap in the next cycle, that it is AT AZTECA.

    The rest are just preamble.

Sadly haven't gone to Azteca yet -- would've last cycle had the game been a Saturday instead of a Wednesday -- but have seen our boys in the last four World Cups. Also cool meeting Rishi and Ethan in Trinidad in October 2008.

I'm at 18 now. Went to USA v. Spain in Foxboro, USA v. Canada in Detroit and the final in LA v. Mexico.

I would have been at 19 but there was a bomb threat on my plane when it landed in DC 2 hours before the QF kick off (couldn't have gotten in any earlier due to a wedding) and we were stranded on the runway for 6 hours. I missed the whole match!!!

I'll be getting my 19th at Red Bull Arena in two weeks.

A little thread resurrection as I near my century. Like Atouk, I've really slowed down he last few years. Four years ago to the day I was already at 81.

And as my fandom led me into the media, I'm a hybrid. So I'm not claiming scoreboard (I've got 22 non-media caps).

I'm now on 97 USMNT caps with 19 as a ticket buyer, 3 as a tour company photographer (WC06), 12 as a writer and 63 on the field taking photos.

If I make the trip to Costa Rica, the Jamaica game in Kansas City would be #100. I hope I make it as it would be somewhat special given that #1 was also the 9th (and final) Hexagonal game 16 years earlier at RFK Stadium.

    Superlatives:
    15 have been against Mexico

13 have been at RFK Stadium
11 have been in Foxboro (9 at the current building)
8 have been at Crew Stadium
    --
5 have been at Estadio Azteca (most outside the U.S.)

11 have been World Cup Finals games
35 have been World Cup Qualifiers
*9 of the WCQs have been away: Mexico(4), Trinidad, Grenada, Panama, Guatemala, Cuba
9 have been Gold Cup games (none since 2009)

Special games (off the top, without looking at the list):
First cap: 1997 - Jamaica WCQ
April, 2001: Costa Rica WCQ at Arrowhead. 37k pro-US. The debut of Ed Kirwin's Big Ass Flag, I was responsible for getting it folded. One of my last games in the stands.
2001 Honduras WCQ at RFK Stadium. Maybe the most pulsating riveting game of the bunch. We lost 3-2 (Is that the last home WCQ loss?) in a game where they ran us off the field, but we still could have won (Stewart missed a PK and Preki hit the crossbar late).
First Azteca: June, 2001 WCQ. There are no words for the first Azteca game.
Feb 28, 2002: Guerra Fria vs Mexico in Columbus. My toes still ache at the cold.
Portugal at the World Cup - tears in my eyes as I type this.
Korea in Korea at the World Cup. (I saw 4 of Korea's games, this was 2nd only to Korea/Italy)
Beating Mexico at the World Cup in a game we should have lost. Priceless/Magical.
2005 Mexico WCQ in Columbus. What an ass kicking. We've never owned them like that.
March 2008 friendly at Wembley Stadium vs England. I was on the field at Wembley Stadium. Jealous?
2008 Cuba WCQ in Havana. The game was cool and quirky, the trip, which took 4 months of red tape, was amazing, expensive, and priceless.
2009 Costa Rica WCQ in RFK. Try explaining the post-game celebration to a non-soccer person. We tied a meaningless (for us) game and sent Honduras to South Africa.
2010 Algeria in South Africa. Possibly the most emotional and special of them all.
2012 Aztecazao, beating Mexico in Mexico at last
2013 Costa Rica WCQ in Denver. Let it snow.

    Respect for two things.

A: Almost hitting 100 caps and starting back in 1997 when the team really wasn't well known.

B: Admitting that you've had a little help along the way. ;) (Kidding of course)

The only caps that weren't a my expense were the 3 in Germany. The media and fan caps were all out of pocket up front. I have made a few photo sales over the years, after the fact.

I am currently at 12 caps, with a huge gap between 1 and 2, just over 16 years to be exact. Lucky number 13 will be this September in Columbus, which will be my first WCQ. What a great time this USMNT has been.

1994: World Cup Group Stage vs. Switzerland in Detroit
2010: Friendly vs. Brazil in New Jersey
2011: Friendly vs. Spain in Foxborough, MA, Gold Cup Group Stage vs. Canada in Detroit, Gold Cup QF vs. Jamaica in Washington, Friendly vs. Mexico in Philly
2012: Friendly vs. Brazil at Fedex Field, Friendly vs. Canada in Toronto
2013: Friendly vs. Belgium in Cleveland, Friendly vs. Germany in Washington, Gold Cup group stage vs. Costa Rica in Hartford, Gold Cup QF vs. El Salvador in Baltimore.
