It’s Dordoi-Dynamo again in Kyrgyzstan BISHKEK: Dordoi-Dynamo continued their reign in Kyrgyzstan for the sixth consecutive year winning the league crown after beating Abdysh-Ata 3-2 in the play-off on Sunday. A 79th-minute strike from Ghanian David Tetteh sealed the victory for Sergey Dvoryankov’s side after Russian import Maxim Kretov’s equaliser for the defending champions in the 70th minute. Anton Zemlianuhin put Abdysh twice ahead in the 11th and 49th minutes but Vadim Harchenko had reduced the deficit for Dordoi in the 20th minute. Both teams were locked on 11 points each after the ‘Final Four’ sixth round and were forced to play an extra play-off encounter to determine the title winner. Dordoi-Dynamo will represent Kyrgyzstan in CIS Cup and AFC President’s Cup next year. Although Dordoi have won the championship for the 6th year running, many outsiders may feel that its a one horse league. But things are changing, Abdysh Ata have improved year after year and are closing the gap on Dordoi. This year and end of season playoff. Last season also finished in a playoff. Hopefully they can keep this up and go one further next year??
So Dordoi qualify for the CIS Cup, how do you see their chances? Last time out they collected 2 points (2 draws and one defeat).
Yes, Abdysh Ata can be champion as well. This and last year they were very close to be a champion, but lost in play-off. Next year, Abdysh-Ata may won, also they have new coach from Netherland.
Dordoi qualified for CIS Cup. I'm not sure about their chances, let's wait until all the teams will be known and draw will held. I heard that this time the rule of CIS Cup will change and it will be open cup, not only limited between CIS contries. They want to bring up to the next level. Because, previously, the Russian and Ukraine's champions usually sends second squard for the Cup. This time we may expect first one. Anyway, let's see.
BISHKEK: Kyrgyzstan coach Anarbek Ormombekov has set a semi-final target for next year’s AFC Challenge Cup in Sri Lanka. The Central Asians were placed in Group A alongside defending champions India, DPR Korea and neighbours Turkmenistan. “Our target is to reach at least the semi-finals but of course we are dreaming to qualify for the 2011 AFC Asian Cup,” the 38-year-old told www.the-afc.com after Monday’s draw ceremony in the Sri Lankan capital of Colombo. The 2010 AFC Challenge Cup champions will get an automatic entry into the 2011 AFC Asian Cup in Doha, alongwith the 2008 champions India. “DPR Korea are one of the favorite teams and it will be better to play against them in the group stage rather than the semi-final.” Ormombekov (pictured) said the team needed to make big improvements if they are to make an impact in the tournament. “Group A is much stronger compared to the other group where Tajikistan should reach the semi-finals without any problem. Our team is young and can improve further but it depends on the availability of our players plying their trade in Kazakhstan, Latvia and Turkey,” he added. “We will start our preparations in January and players from Dordoi-Dynamo will take part in the CIS Cup in Moscow later. The team will travel to the Middle East for the last training camp before the tournament.” http://www.the-afc.com/en/afc-challenge-cup-2010/26202-kyrgyz-coach-sets-semis-target
CIS Cup Dordoi start their CIS Cup campaign today: They are drawn in Group A with: Dnepr Mogilev (Belarus) Liepajas Metalurgs (Latvia) Rubin Kazan (Russia)
Dordoi-Dynamo of Kyrgyzstan went down to Dnepr Belarus 3-1. http://www.the-afc.com/en/member-as...-asia-news/26584-mixed-luck-for-c-asian-sides
Dordoi Dynamo in CIS Cup action 16.01.10 Dnepr Mogilev 3:1 Dordoi 17.01.10 Rubin Kazan 2:0 Dordoi 19.01.10 Liepajas Metalurgs 1:1 Dordoi So, Dordoi failed to win once again, but are they starting to learn? In 2009, they got 2 draws, there best performance yet. After the opening day loss, it was always going to be hard to turn it around, especially when coming up against Russian oposition. It's tough for them at this level, but how can they break that duck and win a game?
BISHKEK: Kyrgyzstan will have a 10-day training camp in Bahrain to prepare for the 2010 AFC Challenge Cup to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from February 16 to 27. The Central Asians have already started training under coach Anarbek Ormombekov in Kant and will fly to Bahrain on February 5. “We will have the bulk of our training in Bahrain where we have also planned to play two or three friendly games with local clubs,” Ormombekov told www.the-afc.com. http://www.the-afc.com/en/afc-chall...stan-eye-challenge-cup-route-to-afc-asian-cup

Kyrgyzstan at the Asian Games Not a good tournement for Kyrgyzstan, I'm sure they will be disapointed with the loss to Malaysia. Results: 1 - 2 Malaysia 1 - 2 China 0 - 3 Japan 2012 AFC Challenge Cup Drawn in Group C with Tajikistan, Maldives and the winners of Playoff 4 (Cambodia / Macau). I do think they can progress to the finals from within this group. 2012 AFC Men's Pre-Olympic Tournament Drawn against Iran in the first round. I would find it hard to see them progress
Bear in mind the first and last of those are for the under-23 national team. There should be a different squad for the AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers.
Group A of the CIS Cup to be played in January Inter Baku (Azerbaijan) Iskra-Stal (Moldova) Esteghal Dunshabe (Tajikistan) Neftchi Kochkor-Ata (Kryrgyzstan)
Neftchi were out of their depth at the recent CIS Cup. Not sure what kind of team they took, but heres the results: 0:3 v Inter Baku 0:1 Iskra Stal 0:5 Esteghal Inter Baku are a good team and sent a strong squad. Iskra, well not too sure really. Esteghal in the final game, somewhat of a fierce Central Asian derby with both teams reduced to 9 men. The result didn't matter but Esteghal needed goals to qualify, of what they got.
