VS Game: New England Revolution vs FC Dallas Date: Saturday, September 10th Time: 6:30 PM [CST] Location: Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, Massachusetts, United States Weather Forecast: Partly Cloudy; H 71/L 57 Competition: Major League Soccer TV: None (Local)/Direct Kick (Out of Market) Radio: Univision 1270 AM Last Result for Opponent: Playing away to Philly today at 7 on Galavision. I know everyone is still reeling from the Bobby Rhine news, so it's hard to put this game in perspective. However, 3 pts is a must against a struggling team. We've always had trouble at this venue but I feel this is the year we can turn that around. We've had plenty of rest (sans Shea) and should be extra ready for this one. As for the TV situation...when FCD announced their TV schedule earlier in the year, they said the games from September on would be announced at a later date. Well here we are and still a big "TBD" on their website. FSSW and FSSW+ seem to be occupied with College Football and TXA-21 has a movie scheduled for right now. So if it is local, I would guess TXA-21 would be the best bet. Details when I hear 'em. Prediction: 2-1 FCD.
Made it out to practice this morning. Got a nice edition of practice live with a forgotten player that made a little bit of a statement today, 8v8 scrimmage and Schellas on Brek, Loyd and more Read here
Wouldn't that be interesting to see that "forgotten player" hook up with Santos again in this game? That would throw quite the monkey wrench in the oppositions strategies!
Highly unlikely that he would start, but if things are 1-0 Revs in the second half, wouldn't shock me.
I asked Robert Casner on twitter if there is any word on who is going to carry the game on TV. This was his response: "No. They are avidly searching however." It will be disappointing if a game in the stretch run will not be available on TV.
Santos can't hook up with anyone. He is horrible. I've been watching him for years and saw this all along. He can't complete a pass, can't shoot on frame, and has a hard time dressing himself.
You forgot he can't breathe or dribble and chew gum at the same time. I will be very interested in seeing him and the rest of the team after real practices.
FCDallas just tweeted, "Tomorrow's #FCDallas game vs. NE Revs will only be available on Direct Kick & Matchday Live. Visit FCDallas.com/Pubs for places to watch." Sucks.
Hope the guys are ready. It was nice to see almost the entire team at Bobby's viewing last night Lots of heavy hearts. Wonder if Loyd will change #'s? We'll be a the Wickers for the watching party. Think the guys will be inspired tomorrow night 1-0 FCD.

MLS rules say a player can't change # mid season, I would imagine he can do some kind of appeal or something though.
Loyd switched the 19 to a 91. Nice tribute. Shea gaffed on the goal, defensively. He could have just simply headed the cross in, but chose to contort his body in an effort to kick it away. He looks really strung out, but will probably play the rest of the game. Would like to see Galindo come in for him though and provide a newer feel so NE might get thrown off balance.
I remember that when El Zarco joined the team in 1997, he wore #11 for a couple of matches before he switched to the #17 that he wore for the next several years that he played in Dallas.
That blew. A win would've put us back into 2nd, but now, we've got RSL breathing down our necks for 3rd.
Funny, that is exactly what I was saying in the second half. Villar isn't cutting it. He doesn't seem to link passes he should (I am sure I will catch flack for this Cruz was about as poor). Dallas seemed to be one touch or simple pass away from scoring the entire game.
I actually thought they did ok but finishing was bad or very unlucky. NE had lucky finishing and some long hard shots on target that Hartman saved. When Shea left Dallas was without Shea, Chavez and Ferreira or their top three attacking mids. Adding the missing Ugo and all the chances they had and I see a breakout game in the future when they get the calls and luck.
