Group A: This group is interesting with the two ES-SUR games in the last two match days.
    El Salvador 18
    Suriname 10
    Dominican Rep 5
    Cayman Islands 1

Group B: I see this coming down to the last match between T & T and Guyana
    T & T 14
    Guyana 10
    Barbados 8
    Bermuda 1

    Group C: Pretty straight foward
    Panama 12
    Nicaragua 4
    Dominica 1

Group D: Canada will bring a B team against St Kitts in the final two games as they will only need to pick up one point to advance: thus, the draw in Basseterre.
    Canada 16
    Puerto Rico 10
    St. Kitts and Nevis 8
    St Lucia 0

Group E: The bottom three teams are pretty balanced. Guatemala drops points with a B team in final game
    Guatemala 14
    Grenada 9
    Belize 5
    SV & G 2

Group F: The key to this group is whether Haiti and Curacao can consistently bring their best squads. Clearly the USVI are the worst team.
    Haiti 14
    Curacao 11
    Antigua and Barbuda 8
    USVI 0

The games start 3:30 P.M. USA Eastern Time tomorrow and all predictions for this round must be posted before then and cannot be edited after that. I plan on posting how many correct result predictions everybody had after the second matchday of each pair.

Edit: I'll post the average predicted number of points for each team after the deadline for predictions. I have 22 for this round so far.

I've changed the above. Let's say the best person's predictions for a group were off by 4 points and the worst person's were off by 20 points. The best person would get a perfect score for that group and the worst person would get 0. Each point off from 4 to 20 would be 1/16th of the possible points for that group. The points off in the final standings predictions for this round are 2% of the whole competition per group, so 1/16th of the possible points would be 1/8 or 0.125. Your score for that round would come from the following table:

    4 points off: 2
    5 points off: 1.875
    6 points off: 1.75
    ...
    18 points off 0.25
    19 points off 0.125
    20 points off: 0

The games have started so no more predictions can be made for this round.

I think Panama will finish top 4. Should be a close between them and Costa Rica, Canada, and Jamaica

Yeah, based on recent form, I think Panama will probably finish 4th. Although Costa Rica could improve by the final round. I don't see Canada or Jamaica getting any better than they already are in the next couple years.

As for this round, Curacao brought a decent squad and still got destroyed, and Grenada brought a bunch of scrubs. Definately threw off my predictions. Belize and Nicaragua are clearly undervalued in the FIFA rankings...probably because they only play other UNCAF teams that are better than them. However, it looks like they could beat a lot if not most of the Carribean teams that outrank them.

Who does the 4th Concacaf team play in the playoffs? Asia or South America again?

    Oceania this time.

The average correct result predictions for Matchday 1 was 8 1/22 out of 11. I got 9. I'll post everybody's total after Matchday 2.

    I was 9 of 11

The two I got wrong was predicting a Draw in the Guyana-Barbados game (Guyana won), and picking Grenada over Belize (did anybody pick Belize?).

Nobody picked Belize. 18 out of people 22 picked Grenada and 4 predicted a draw. 9 points is tied for first so far (just for this round, not combining this with the five First Round aggregate series). 7 people got 9, 9 people got 8, and 6 people got 7, so nobody is way ahead or behind.

If you private message me your e-mail address I will e-mail you my whole spreadsheet with everybody's predictions.

In hindsight I should've waited for the squads to be announced before picking winners. I just assumed Grenada would have Roberts, Joseph, Bain etc.

I agree they're much better than most of the CFU. They almost never win because they don't play much outside UNCAF.

Honduras should be listed in these posts. They are not any better than Costa Rica or Panama based on current form, and their youth teams have not been very good recently.

3rd and 4th in the hex are wide open at this time.

FIFA says that the Matchday 2 game St. Vincent and the Grenadines-Grenada has been postponed to September 18.

After tomorrow's games I will post standings both for this round and for this round combined with the First Round.

Any livestreams available for Barbados vs T&T? I've been googling a bit around, but most links are fake adverts and stuff.

1-0 Canada @ halftime in Bayamon. 42' by Iain Hume.

Speaking of Iain Hume, looking at the scar on the side of his head you really realize how lucky his is to still be playing this game at this level.

Usually a skull fracture requiring brain surgery would mean game over.

I wish they were showing these matches live. Most matches so far have been much close than anyone expected.

I'm looking through live scores of matches right now, and they are no less surprising. El Salvador is still tied 0-0 with Cayman Islands 30 minutes in, and Haiti is losing 2-1 to Curucao. Damn, I really wish I could watch these.

Looks like I'm going to score at least 9 on Match Day 2 too. 9/10 with the Grenada/St. Vincent game to be played on the 18th yet.

I can't believe how many people were predicting Canada to lose to PR.

    (US does too.:eek::()

Is it interesting enough in the Group F horse race between Haiti and Antigua will be decided in the last 2 rounds?
