Cesc kept tweeting about Arsenal today

Probably just realized he joined a team full of dickheads

The league is on strike. He has more time on his hands. He is probably laughing at us now.

    What were the tweets?

I feel like an old man when I have to post a question about twitter.

I never thought I could hate Farcelona more, but it just happened:

Fabregas: Worth more than Barca paid for him, according to Bartomeu

Words cannot describe my angst right now. A swear word doesn't seem to go far enough. This is a new low level of classlessness (I think I just made up that word.)

It really is a totally unnecessary and classless statement. Even if they feel that way there's no reason to rub salt in the wound @Arsenal. I hope clubs will keep his statement in mind when dealing with Barcelona. Keep in mind it's their vice president after all

    horrible horrible horrible club.
no matter how much they win, they will forever be tainted by cheating, favouritism, tapping up, boring tippy tappy sideways crap and financial debt.

(oh, and a truly dreadful club song)

Just keep scouts in front of La Masia and keep on snatching up their young talent. Then put in a buyout clause for 100 million pounds for Barcelona. That will keep their hands off....Are there buyout clauses in England?

    Inflated buyout clauses are meaningless.

Of course not! Emotional heart strings pulling at him and all that.

We did HIM a service by selling him to Barca.

You know, at least I've never heard him say, "it wasn't about the money".

Because, as we all know, when a pro athlete says "it's not about the money", it's about the money. :)

Cesc is definitely not blameless. He really put Arsenal in a bin during the negotiation.

Cesc is to blame. He essentially cost us money that we could've used to further strengthen the team *insert joke*

With that said, it's all business. Great player, but a bad bad look what he did to his team.

realistically was this ever going to work out any differently?

there was only one club seriously up for negotiation and unless we actually won trophies with Cesc his price was always going to go down.

The reason the price went down so drastically Wenger held on to Cesc just a bit too long. It is not unlike when he held off selling Henry. The price ended up being cut in more then half.

How much did Barca offer last summer?

Edit: According to this, they offered 29 million last year, a year later we got 35. I'm not good with math, but is that half?

And according to Cesc in the article below : 'Without him (AW) I would not be a Barca player now, he convinced the owners of Arsenal, who would not sell under any circumstances, to lower the price.'

So there you have it. Mr Wenger was the one that decided to sell Cesc and was the first to give in Barca the ********** demands. This transfer window was the most poorly implemented one I've seen from Wenger and co.

He also claims he gave 100% every game. My eyes told me otherwise.

We jumped the shark with Vieira's departure, but i still tune in anyway. I'm hoping the new cast members will add some spice to our little soap opera.
