Yeah. Like if someone gets a red card you chant "Left, Right, Left, Right" to his footsteps until he leaves the stadium like USU does when someone fouls out. The "Winning Team, Losing Team" chant is pretty awesome too...
Let's repeat the non-conformists oath: I promise to be different, I promise to be unique, I promise not to repeat things other people say ... (sorry, it's that whole Steve Martin thing)
I like the new "ReAL!" clap clap clap... chant. With LBR and SCU/RCB starting it, it spread really fast. The "stop being a **********!" chant was hilarious. I dont find it as juvenile as the YSA chant, for some reason... maybe because other teams dont do it as much. The crowd last night (philly match) was really electric, especially in the first half. What I noticed was that if some people in each of the sections start to get into it, others will join, and so on and so forth. I was surprised how many people in 14 started to do the "Real" chant just because a couple of us at the top of the section were doing it. Two thumbs up to the crowd and supporters groups for their improvement. Its not always as good as it was last night, but its soooo much better than it has been in years past.
Props to the two of you I saw doing the corner kick bounce on Saturday (north end, slightly west of center). It's lonely being a pioneer.
I also saw a couple people on the southend bouncing up and down. After being at the game and thinking 'should I start bouncing or watch the corner kick?' I decided to just stand and watch the corner kick. I still don't think it will work for corner kicks. Corners are too exciting and fans want to see what is going to happen. What about a kickoff bounce instead? Everyone is already standing and you could do it twice a game until RSL gets the ball or loses the ball depending on who gets the ball to start a half. I would do that.
