Eff this game....eff it in the ear......eff it completely. Play the Academy. Heck...play the U17 rec team. No one cares about this farce. EFF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Every game I've told myself, "OK, this HAS to be the game where SH makes some wholesale changes to rest guys" and he has never done it. Surely this one?
George John could probably use a game since he's had 45 minutes in the last couple of weeks and there's a full week after. Other than that, I'd like to see Seitz and the Academy.
if i see anyone i recognize in a red-hooped kit on the pitch this saturday, i will walk down myself and slap him upside the head with his own butter leather coat
Maybe we can bring the SMU squad up to Frisco and disguise them as FCD players or something. And then maybe Tigres gets so angry about how we play this game they vow to drop this idiotic tournament forever. That would be a win-win.
Here's my guess/hope: [lineup-4-4-2] Luna,Top,Leyva,Warshaw,Bruno,Castillo,Moises,John,Stewart,Wiedeman,Seitz [/lineup-4-4-2] John gets a run out but is subbed at half by Ulloa. Everyone else, they go as long as possible (these guys aren't 90 minutes fit except Bruno) and then make a few late subs as needed.
That's where he played at Academy level but I believe he has been playing CB with the reserves (possibly only because of a lack of available bodies). If that switch actually happened, they could choose to drop Warshaw back to CB and play Ulloa at d-mid.
2-1 win tonight for the good guys who take the Rio Grande Plate 6-5 on penalties. Goals from Ruben Luna and JAckson on either side of halftime. A few thoughts on tonight's match
This was one of the best games I have seen at PHP this season. George John and Zach Lloyd were superb making key clearances in dangerous situations in front of the goal. Lunas goal was great. When he picked up the ball he glanced up, saw where the keeper was, and played a lovely chip into the far corner of the net. Poor turn out from FCD fans even though there were free tickets for STHs. However, the fans who were there really made a lot of noise and created an atmosphere that was electric.
You definitely could see both teams came to play, that is for sure. With all the games this season, and all the other upcoming games, I can see how this game might get lost in the shuffle a bit, but their loss. Wish the team spent more effort promoting every game.
